And the feeling in my blood I can never let it out This heart of darkness This night of pain It all becomes so far away In this space when I have gone You will be found again And the ties that bind me here Never let us go And the danger in my blood Is this who I am? This heart of darkness This night of pain I can't make it go away Lingering near the front of the classroom, head tilted slightly, long black bangs framing his features, Sirideán watched as his gaggle of students filtered from his room a little too enthusiastically. They were still children, even if they were vampires, so he understood how school could be boring to them...But it still frustrated him on a fundamental level. It wasn't as if he were teaching some superfluous course, this was serious stuff. Taking care of one's body as a vampire and ensuring that one was well fed was extremely important. Going hungry lead to ... accidents.
Raising one hand, he let out a low breath as the last student exited the room, tousling his fingers through his hair. Pushing away from the black board, he wandered the aisles of tables and chairs and made sure everything was in its proper place before returning to the front of the desk. He leaned over the counter top and sorted his papers, scooping up the assignments that required grading and placing them in his bag. Afterwards he cleared his desk, locked his drawer, and slung his messenger bag over his shoulder.
Wandering over to the doorway, he hesitated in the threshold, glancing over the room one last time before slipping out into the hall. Taking a moment to shut and lock the door behind him. Pivoting, he started to make his way down the corridor, though his pace was slow and leisurely. Given the fact that he spent most of his time either in his dorm or in his classroom, thanks to his overly dedicated work ethic tending to kill any chance at a social life, he wasn't exactly in a hurry. One hand slipping into the pockets of his slacks to withdraw his pack of cigarettes, he fished one out and placed it between his lips...Though didn't light up just yet, he was still indoors after all.
Sirideán wandered the hall casually, playing his tongue absently against the butt of his cigarette as he padded towards the exit.

When Elias worked as long, and hard as he did, the man couldn't get enough coffee. He wasn't supposed to be working this late, but just as he was leaving he'd gotten a call to tend to one of the Day class students that was supposedly sick. It was just a cold, but he understood why the boy's frantic friend might have been so anxious. It wasn't every day he met a student from the Night Class but when that boy had come to his office so suddenly he couldn't refuse him.
However, after tending to the student in the dorms, he couldn't bring himself to head home. He'd gotten himself distracted in his office, sorting through documents and filing papers. He didn't just work at Arden, but he kept many of his other projects at the school for safe keeping. His house was already overflowing with reports from the local hospital. He couldn't stuff any more within those file cabinets, and the mess wasn't safe for his mother.
Elias had lost track of the time, and among his tedious work had started to drift in and out of an awkward state of consciousness. Buzzed on caffeine, while his body demanded that he sleep. It created a bizarre high, that was causing him to crash. He'd nodded off several times while sitting up in his chair, however sleep was catching up to him fast.
He leaned back in his chair, a fresh cup of hot coffee in his hands, keeping them warm as he shut his eyes. He told himself it would just be for a minute, just so he could see and think clearly. Though the next moment he opened them and glanced over at the clock above his office door his eyes grew wide with panic. In that moment, he tilted just a tad too far in his chair, and while his reflexes were far to slow to catch himself, he fell backwards in it and incidentally spilled the lukewarm coffee all over his crisp white button down.
The man gasped, then groaned as he turned over and crawled way from his chair. The only thing on his mind, regardless of the mess he'd made, was the time. His mother was home alone, and he hadn't even been able to make her dinner. He was such a horrible human being.

This heart of darkness This night of pain I can't make it go away Making his way out of the night class wing he strolled his way through the school building. Lazily taking the scenic route as there was nothing to hurry back to at his room. Reaching up, he removed the cigarette from his lips and tucked it behind his ear, his hand lingering near his face to fuss over some of his bangs. Passing through the main foyer he decided to take a detour down another hall and that was how he ended up wandering by the doctor's office. Just in time to hear a commotion that made him pause. Quirking a brow, he backtracked a couple of paces and situated himself near the door frame. The sight before him was almost humorous, though Sirideán was too polite to actually laugh. Instead, a bit of conflict and concern crept across his pale features as he debated. Part of him just wanted to turn and leave, even from this vantage point it was easy to tell that the distressed medic was human...Thus his instinct was to simply remove himself from the immediate area. However, that would have been more than rude and a little cruel besides, and so he steeled himself and stepped into the office. "Long night?" The vampire asked as he made a slow approach, head tilted slightly in a show of concern, his expression neutral. Coming to a stop near the human, he offered one hand out to him to help him up. coded by Mura

He didn't notice the pain in his back and head until he turned over and tried pushing himself up. The fall had been awkward and had caused him to lose much of his breath, though as he sat up it returned to him he still felt panicked and anxious. Among the mess he'd made all over himself and the floor there were more important things he was worrying about. Eli looked down at his shirt and huffed an exasperated sigh, just before the door opened and quickly caught his attention.
He feared that it was the headmaster. The last thing he needed was to get in trouble for still being here when all Day class students and teachers were supposed to be relieved. Elias didn't want to get fired already, and he was already coming up with excuses as to why he was hear. That is, until he lifted his eyes to the man that stepped in. This person wasn't the headmaster, and though he felt relieved he was just as stunned to see someone who didn't look a day older than himself so casually entering his office. For a moment he thought that perhaps he was a student, but he wasn't wearing the typical school uniform and thus it was quickly ruled out.
Before he could think through his actions, he was taking the mans hand. He tried not to put too much pressure into it as he used the person to help pull him up, but it happened anyway. His limbs felt as stiff as a board and his right leg had fallen asleep. This day couldn't have ended any worse. Elias grumbled and stumbled forward slightly as he tried to regain feeling in his leg, all the while suddenly realizing that his hand was likely coated in a sticky layer of coffee.
"A-ah S-sorry. I didn't mean to..there are sinks in the infirmary." The man said, letting go of the stranger promptly, absently noting how cold he'd felt. He reverted his eyes nervously and turned away so he could sulk over his ruined shirt. 'I wonder if I could get an early check.' Elias had been really quite poor at managing his money lately. His bank account was practically clean, and he really didn't have the money or time to shop for something like clothes.
Suddenly realizing how rude he had been, Elias turned around once more -trying not to trip over his chair- and awkwardly went about introducing himself. "My names Elias Debrov. I apologize for being so rude." He nearly held out his hand for the man to shake, until he remembered that it was still coated in coffee. He retracted it once more and looked over at the mess on his desk. If only he could have shielded it all from this person without throwing him out.
"You must be a Night Class teacher..please don't tell the headmaster I'm here. I really don't want to get sacked. I just started and I don't want to ruin my time here." He was practically pleading already. If he had to make a deal with this guy he would. He'd never seen anyone from the Night Class before until this evening, but even then it had only been a single student. The boy had been charming, but this man was...Did all of the Night Class look like models? Elias couldn't help but feel intimidated, regardless of his own status here.

And the feeling in my blood I can never let it out This heart of darkness This night of pain It all becomes so far away In this space when I have gone You will be found again And the ties that bind me here Never let us go And the danger in my blood Is this who I am? This heart of darkness This night of pain I can't make it go away Despite the fact that offering his help to this young man put him in close contact and caused him to be acutely aware of the other's pulse...Sirideán did his best to tough it out like a champ, letting the medic linger and hold onto his hand for as long as necessary. Though his dark gaze did narrow slightly, he fixated his attention on the far wall for a beat or two. Really, for an adult vampire like himself, who kept well-fed, such small, casual contact shouldn't have been a problem...And for most, it probably wasn't. However, ever since that incident years ago with his uncle...He was overly cautious. The predator within him wasn't something he could ever completely remove, so he simply...tried not to tempt it at any level. When his hand was released, albeit a little more covered with coffee than it had been previously, he eyed the blonde and gave a small shrug. "It's fine, really," Sirideán offered in his best reassuring voice, a faint smile paired with the words, though it didn't completely reach his eyes. He had made it a habit over the years of keeping a certain distance between himself and others even when he was being polite and friendly. It was simply...easier that way...for everyone. Eying the man for a moment, if only to make sure that Elias was steady on his feat again, he then turned to rinse his hand off in the sink of the nearby infirmary. He took a moment to grab extra paper towels on his way back, just in time to catch Elias turning around to introduce himself.Instead of a handshake, given the situation, Sirideán simply offered some of the paper towels. "It's nice to meet you, Mr. Debrov. I'm Sirideán Weiß-Kappel," This he retorted in his usual calm and polite tone, falling silent as the other man continued to speak. While he tried to keep his expression neutral, he couldn't help but furrow his brow slightly at the way the man launched into pleading. Poor guy seemed a little on edge...Lips pursed, he shook his head, smile widening a fraction. "I won't tell, you have my word. Everyone has their...moments. I wouldn't make it a habit staying so late though," The vampire paused. Part of him wanted to continue with 'it's not safe', but it wasn't like he could just...confess that. Really, the school was probably one of the safer places to be, but Sirideán could be rather cynical sometimes regarding his kind's predatory nature.

Siridean...What a name. Eli was having to shake his head just to rid himself of the awkward thoughts that arose. Mentally he flipped through pages of the latest magazines he'd glanced over, trying to think if he'd ever seen this guy on an ad. There was just no way he was a teacher. How old was he? Elias felt so rude even wanting to ask such things but he was curious, despite how nosy it may have seemed. He was playing with his hair without realizing it, his eyes trailing down to the floor until his brain decided to register the latter of the man's words.
"Oh er...I'll really try not to I-" He didn't want to admit too much of his personal life either. It would sound far too depressing, and he feared what his 'coworker' might think of him if he was aware of the life he lead. "Thanks. For not telling." Though he still worried about the headmaster finding out, there was a manner in which this man spoke that made him sound so...trustworthy. Elias didn't think much of it, but it permitted him to relax some, knowing he had someone on his side. However, he'd forgotten about his shirt again.
Elais, still playing with his hair, glanced down at the stained button down, and promptly turned away from Siridean once more. He was like a broken record of mannerisms, a spastic child on a sugar high. "S-sorry I..I look so horrible right now." He couldn't have come at a worse time. How could such a handsome man grace him with his presence while he looked like a complete wreck. Elias covered his face with a free hand, sulking into it as he hoped that above all the tall man hadn't noticed the bags under his eyes -he knew they were there, and it was embarrassing.
Had he brought extra clothes to work this time? He knew he might have something hidden in one of the drawers under his desk. Being a doctor here, or anywhere for that matter, Elias learned to always carry around a change of clothes. Blood, was unsightly, and as a doctor he preferred to be clean. Elias ducked behind his desk, hoping that the handsome man wouldn't be able to see him as he rummaged through the drawers in his desk. He felt so anxious in front of this person, and if not for the caffeine, his heart was likely beating out of his chest.
"I would volunteer to stay later, if not for other commitments I have. The headmaster, he was so bothersome in getting me to work at this school, but I guess I can't blame him. With so many new students coming in." Arden really needed his help. Elias wasn't usually an evening person, but if it hadn't been for his mother he would likely still be working through the night as well. Even if the night class students didn't need him as often as the Day, he would still wish to contribute.
"How long have you been working here? I've never met a Night Class teacher before." He paused his actions, and slammed one of the drawers shut before peeking over his desk apprehensively. "..You are a teacher right?" He had to make sure, the man was just so...well, he didn't look like the average teacher to put it plainly. Not that he was judging. Siridean was so- Just a coworker, yes. Just a coworker.

And the feeling in my blood I can never let it out This heart of darkness This night of pain It all becomes so far away In this space when I have gone You will be found again And the ties that bind me here Never let us go And the danger in my blood Is this who I am? This heart of darkness This night of pain I can't make it go away Standing there, relatively still and calm, Sirideán probably looked rather statue-esque compared to his new acquaintance. The vampire tilted his head ever-so-slightly, some long, dark bangs drifting against his cheeks as he watched the shorter male move about. Poor man seemed so very on edge all the sudden, it was as if the more time passed the more nervous the other became, and, for the life of him, the night class teacher couldn't figure out why. Were his fangs showing? Or perhaps...Elias was just one of those sensitive types that picked up on the lurking predator within him? His brow furrowed a minute fraction at that thought. That only reinforced his instinct to leave, but...a conversation had been started now, he couldn't just go. So the tall man lingered, setting the remaining paper towels on the desk should Elias need them, before moving his hands to clasp them against the small of his back. "It's really no problem," He stated, hoping the air of calm he was maintaining would help the doctor relax some more. Certainly getting so worked up couldn't be good for his health...Inwardly he let out a low sigh. If nothing else, having the other man calm down more would at least stop the ... oh-so-tempting ... rhythm of the medic's heartbeat in his ears. Thankfully over the years he had perfected a polite facade and thus he managed to keep his predatory side from surfacing...Instead, he coaxed his smile a little wider, though it still didn't reach his eyes. "It's nice to see someone with such a keen work ethic..." Sirideán offered with a knowing smile. He wasn't oblivious to the bags under the man's eyes, and was half tempted to comment that it was likely good the other couldn't volunteer for more hours...Elias obviously needed sleep. However, he wasn't one to talk really, all he did was eat, sleep and work...With the latter taking up more of his time than anything else, so he couldn't exactly scold someone else on not sleeping. Blinking a little as the drawer was slammed, Sirideán cocked his head slightly. "Oh...I have been here for a couple months," He gave a small shrug, "To be honest...You are the first of the day staff I have met outside of the required meetings--" The vampire cut himself off upon seeing how Elias peeked over at him uncertainly. It would almost be...endearing...if Sirideán ever let himself think of people in such ways. However...it was safer to maintain his distance so he pushed that notion away. Keen work ethic, this guy had no idea. All he ever did was work, but alas he couldn't complain. Eli enjoyed helping people. The feeling he got when he helped someone to a degree that it made them happy, well he felt a sort of high from it. A feeling akin to the warm fuzziness in his stomach. What did people call that? Butterflies? Elias was never very good at remembering all the expressions of the human world. He wasn't an English teacher after all.
A couple months. Of course it had been a couple months. His eyes wandered from the tall man back down to the desk in front of him, before he frowned and went back to what he'd been doing before. How disappointing it must have been for him to be the first Day Staff this man had met. "I'm sorry that I'm the first you've met. I doubt most Day class staff are as..well, I'm sure they're better prepared." And less klutzy, and more organized, and don't break the rules by staying in their office over night. The more he thought about it the worse of an example he seemed.
However it wasn't a moment later that he found a clean shirt. His expression lifted immediately, even though it was a simple t-shirt that was for lounging at best. He didn't think the mode-..teacher would mind, but it still was certainly embarrassing. "I have to say, you don't really look like a teacher." Elias said, setting the shirt in his lap as he began to unbutton the other. "I hope that's not rude to say or anything. It's just..When I first saw you I thought you were a student." Now that he thought back on it, it did seem funny. Elias found the energy to laugh at himself for at least this.
"This is probably another rude question, but I'm just curious. How old are you?" He had some form of confidence surge through him to be able to ask that. Though it was likely because he felt so vulnerable already. For the most part he was just trying to distract the teacher so he wouldn't peak, but he had no idea if it was working because he was afraid to look himself. He'd managed to unbutton his shirt, though it took longer than he'd like. His hands were shaking from the coffee and lack of a real meal. When he got home he wasn't going to know what was best first, sleep or food. Surely it wasn't healthy to eat at this hour.

This heart of darkness This night of pain I can't make it go away Hearing the apology, he couldn't help but arch a brow faintly. Not quite certain why the man was apologizing, of all things. Sure, the circumstances of their meeting had been less than graceful, but...Beyond that, it wasn't like the experience was unpleasant. Yes, there was the part of him that was greatly tempted by the fantasy of what the doctor's blood would taste like...But that wasn't his new acquaintance's fault. Elias wasn't to blame for the fact that Sirideán harbored a monster inside of him...That was simply his lot in life. "There's nothing to be sorry for," The vampire stated bluntly with a slight narrowing of his eyes, not unkind simply...thoughtful. "It's 'after hours', for you, technically, there is nothing to be 'prepared' for..." His shoulders rolled in a small shrug. Elias' commentary drew a slight smile from him, one hand raised to tuck a few bangs out of his face. "I don't think it's rude...I've been told I look young for my age," He said with a certain practiced casualness. He was young enough yet, as far as vampires were concerned, to still be able to play the 'lucky genes' card. Certainly there were enough actors and the like that were in their thirties while appearing in their twenties to get away with it. As he noted the other's hands moving to the buttons of the shirt, Sirideán turned away. Both out of a sense of politeness as well as shielding his senses from the sight of bare skin. The medic sounded positively edible already, he didn't need to give his inner beast a glimpse of bare skin to drool over either. The vampire inhaled slowly, lips thinned, peering blandly at one of the office walls while Elias changed shirts. "I'm thirty-five," was the simple answer offered, hands settling at his sides, fingers absently tucked into the pockets of his slacks. "What of yourself, Mr. Debrov? You appear to be rather young for a doctor..."coded by Mura

"T-thirty five?" It shouldn't have been a big deal, but if this man couldn't have confirmed his suspicions earlier, Elias was practically convinced that this guy was just playing a teacher for some role rather than it being his actual job. However, he might have some guts, he didn't have quite enough to accuse a stranger of completely lying about his occupation. When it came to matters of his own career, it seemed far more complicated than it needed to be. To distract even himself from over thinking Siridean's age, he went on to answer the man's question.
"I graduated College with my doctorate at around 19. I used to work at a hospital in California, until the headmaster proposed this job...the persistent bastard." Elias said, grumbling the latter of his dialogue at a volume he didn't believe Siridean would hear -however he was completely unaware of the man's heightened senses. At any rate, he spoke nonchalantly as if none of what he'd just said was a big deal. Doing so intentionally so the man didn't gape at him at least. It would be a first, but he was trying to get away with it for once.
He tugged off the sleeve of his shirt and glanced down at the stomach. Some of the coffee had gotten onto his abdomen, and was sticky against his flesh. It would be uncomfortable if he just put this clean shirt over it. Apprehensively he glanced up and over his desk at the tall man, somewhat relieved to see that he was looking away. He tossed the shirt aside and carefully, crawled over to the edge of his desk where the man had left some of the paper towels. He was quick to snatch them, afraid he'd catch the man's attention, before he hid behind his desk once more. Unfortunately though, the paper towels were dry, and it did very little to help.
"I'm twenty two." Admitted absently, glancing over the desk once more at Siridean, conflicted as to whether he wanted to ask the man to wet them or not. Should he get up? He was half naked and didn't really want to walk around like this.. He cleared his throat to get the man's attention, and scooted over to the edge of his desk once more. "Would you be able to wet these for me? The coffee is sticking to my stomach and I don't want it to ruin this shirt too." He felt so awkward having to ask, but he felt he had no other choice. Elias held out the paper towels to Siridean, while doing his best to hide most of his unclothed upper body behind his desk. He was a shy person when it came to being unclothed. Sort of ironic when he was a doctor that was used to seeing the human body on a daily basis.

And the feeling in my blood I can never let it out This heart of darkness This night of pain It all becomes so far away In this space when I have gone You will be found again And the ties that bind me here Never let us go And the danger in my blood Is this who I am? This heart of darkness This night of pain I can't make it go away Elias' disbelief was to be expected, seeing as physically he didn't appear a day over twenty, but...It wasn't so unreasonable, so he simply rolled his shoulders. "I have my mother's side of the family to thank, I suppose," Even if both of his parents were vampires, his father's side had one or two human ancestors. His attention remained on the wall for a few beats before drifting upwards to the ceiling, absently tracing patterns in the stucco as they discussed. A little surprise of his own crept across his pale features as he contemplated the doctor's statements and age. While he had heard the commentary regarding the headmaster, he remained silent on it for now...Really not wanting to work up the smaller male any more than he already was. The other's heartbeat was enough to deal with at current. "You must have been the top of your class to graduate so early. I can respect that," If there was one thing Sirideán admired it was intelligence. Knowledge was power, as the saying went, and he hoped being well-educated would help people make the right decisions...Too bad Elias had to live in ignorance regarding the reality of the world, even when working at a place like Arden. He shook his head, his expression pensive, his eyes narrowed at the ceiling for a beat or two. For a little while there, his thoughts wandered, until Elias caught his attention, the other man clearing his throat. Peering over to the doctor, he quirked a brow curiously. Sirideán was very careful to keep his gaze elevated and generally centered on the man's face. Sure, there really was nothing to be ashamed of, they were both men, it wasn't anything he had never seen before...But...He would rather come across as a prude then tempt the part of him that was a predator. It seemed like Elias was rather shy anyways, hiding behind the desk as he was, so perhaps it wouldn't be too noticeable. "Of course..." Taking the paper towels, he wandered over to the sink where he could properly dampen them, as well as grab some extras so Elias would have something to dry off with. Returning with the items in tow, he offered them to the other man while keeping his face turned away, his gaze downcast. If he thought there was anything awkward about this situation, he wasn't showing it. His posture ... quite reserved. coded by Mura

Elias waited patiently for the man to return, secretly wondering what his mother must look like for her son to look so god like. What an angel she must be. When Siri returned, so did his attention to the man. Elias reached out for the towels, and glanced up at the taller male, this time a bit confused. He was looking away again. It shouldn't have brought confusion to him but Eli was beginning to think there was something wrong with him. Was there something on his face?
He rubbed the wet paper towel across his stomach, wincing slightly at the uncomfortable feeling. "Are you okay?" He inquired, tending to himself still, but interested in hearing what this man would say. He seemed to be as stiff as a board. Call it his doctor instincts, but he felt it was necessary to calm this man too -if he was nervous that is. Though Elias didn't know why. "I'm not really that smart, and my skills are often lacking, but you seem a bit stiff."
Setting the paper towels aside he took his shirt and finally slipped it over his head. Ruffling his hair slightly, fixing it as he worried that perhaps it was his appearance that was causing this man to look away as he was. However, after a long moment of over-thinking once more he couldn't help himself and had to ask. "Is there something on my face?"

And the feeling in my blood I can never let it out This heart of darkness This night of pain It all becomes so far away In this space when I have gone You will be found again And the ties that bind me here Never let us go And the danger in my blood Is this who I am? This heart of darkness This night of pain I can't make it go away Ack. Well, apparently he wasn't as smooth as he thought. He blinked once, then twice, in slow succession, gradually drawing his attention back to Elias once he had seen the shirt was properly on. Blinking a bit at the question that was posed. "There's nothing on your face, no..." Sirideán retorted first as a means to stall and sort his thoughts. He raised one hand to lightly rub at the back of his neck. It wasn't like he could be honest about the situation. After a beat or two, he brought his attention back to the doctor and offered a small, polite smile. "I don't do much socializing, to be honest. That's all..." That seemed like a satisfactory answer, honest enough but not so much as to reveal anything. Generally he wouldn't have been so straight forward but it was the quickest and easiest excuse for the situation. He rolled his shoulders a little to try to push away a bit of tension, lowering his hand back to his side. As if to not let the conversation linger on that subject, he pursed his lips and squinted a little at Elias, "...I wouldn't be so hard on yourself, though. Certainly you must be intelligent and good at your job for the headmaster to request your presence here, yes?"coded by Mura

He was relieved when the man pointed out he had nothing on his face, though he somewhat disbelieved him at first simply by the way the man had blinked at him like that. He hadn't said something too crass had he? Elias wasn't always good with socializing with people either. It was ironic considering his occupation, but he was simply quirky and a bit erratic, and when he worked he was far more focused than this. He entered a zone that could only be seen as something of utter discipline. He loved what he did, and it showed when he was working. However, that 'zone' wasn't going to help him now.
When the tall man admitted to having the same circumstance, he smiled brightly and another one of his small chuckles escaped him. "Oh, right." He replied casually, brushing off Siridean's sullen aura. Elias figured the man didn't have any reason to worry around him. He wasn't one to judge, and he couldn't blame the man considering his work hours. "I bet it's like that for all of you Night Folk huh? I can't understand why anyone would want to hold to such hours but, so long as you don't get sick. Otherwise I'll really have to work overtime." The thought wasn't entirely horrid, but it would put a damper on other things he kept on his schedule.
Elias pushed himself up off of the floor, with the help of his desk, and dusted off his clothes. Thankfully his pants had been spared from the coffee incident, and Elias beamed now that he felt less dirty - if only he could appear less drab in comparison to the tall handsome man. One could only try. He bent down and picked up his shirt, tossed it on the desk, and went about picking up his chair and fixing it so it was where it was supposed to be. Though he listened to Siridean's smooth voice all the while. He smirked again at the words that came from the man's mouth.
He didn't want to speak poorly of the headmaster in front of a coworker, and he didn't think that the old man was shady, but this school definitely was. Elias researched every hospital and volunteer program before accepting work, he was well aware of the stats of this place and it was the most bizarre place he'd ever heard of. From the fact that the guy managed to build it so quickly, to the whole Day and Night class segregation. Why would any student want to sleep all day and wake up at odd hours just for school was beyond him, but once again his doctor side was showing. It just wasn't healthy for the children.
"I doubt it. If anything he just wants my record to add to the prestige of the school. It's as if he's collecting teachers like trading cards. I mean, have you seen how wealthy some of these kids are??" His voice was getting louder as he spoke, and after he realized it it was already too late. He said too much, too loud, and he was embarrassed all over again. Sometimes Elias didn't know what was appropriate to say, and when he got to talking about certain things he just didn't know when to shut up. He felt horrible about it now. He covered his mouth lightly with his right hand, and glanced over at Siri nervously, hoping he hadn't scared or offended the man.
"I'm sorry...forget I said that." He was going to get fired. Siridean was going to report him to the headmaster and that was going to be the end of him. Elias sunk back down to hide behind his desk once more, hoping that if he didn't feel the man's eyes on him it would make him feel better, but sadly it did not. 'You stupid idiot...why would you say something like that??' He thought to himself, mentally banging his head against a wall as he crawled around his chair to retrieve the paper towels he'd left on the other side of the desk. He reached up to grab them without looking, and while he fumbled around for them like a blind person he hoped that Siridean wasn't angry.
After he managed to find the dry paper towels he turned around and went about cleaning the tiled floor where the rest of the coffee had landed.

And the feeling in my blood I can never let it out This heart of darkness This night of pain It all becomes so far away In this space when I have gone You will be found again And the ties that bind me here Never let us go And the danger in my blood Is this who I am? This heart of darkness This night of pain I can't make it go away It didn't feel good to lie to people, but honestly he had built up a tolerance for the unpleasant sensation. As a part of daily life and protecting his survival (as well as shielding unfortunate humans from his true nature), lying had simply become a natural defense mechanism for Sirideán. Not like he could be candid about why he would choose the nocturnal shift over the 'regular' one. So he simply rolled his shoulders and offered a mild smile. "I suppose so. It definitely puts a damper on socializing," Of course what he wouldn't admit was the fact that he tended to avoid such things on top of the difficulties given to him by his schedule. Generally Sirideán didn't interact with anyone unless he had to for his job...So he stuck to his students and the rare night staff co-worker. This little impromptu meeting at the doctor's office was definitely against the norm. "I'll do my best not to get sick. I wouldn't want to cause you any additional stress," Despite the fact that it was rather difficult for him to get sick in the first place, he was sincere. From all that he had seen so far, Elias really needed more rest. At least the younger male appeared to be calming down somewhat, lessening the thunderous rhythm of the heartbeat in his ears. He shifted his weight from one foot to the other, his curiosity getting the better of him for a little while as he simply watched the human go about continuing to clean. His thoughts wandered. Despite the fact that Elias seemed extremely keen to put himself down, and had a rather nervous-awkward social air about him...The youth must have been really bright. Generally people just didn't earn their doctorates at nineteen. Being someone who had a sort of fondness for scholarly pursuits he was...interested. But...then again, the rest of him was insisting that this was the last time he'd ever speak to Elias again, if he could help it, if only for the man's safety, so he pushed all other thoughts out of his mind. Blinking once, he returned his attention to the young male and tilted his head. Mildly surprised by the straightforward commentary. "Ah..." He vocalized simply due to the fact that he had no idea what else to say. It wasn't like he was extremely close to the headmaster, but he could get behind what the man was trying to do. A sense of equality and safety for all was admirable... So instead Sirideán decided to sort of...brush it off, instead venturing to a different topic. "After you're cleaned up...I'm sure you'll want to go home. Do you live on campus? We could walk together, if you want. Or I can walk you to your car if you live elsewhere..." Almost immediately he regretted the offer, as it meant he would be further tempted, but...The rest of him insisted it was the right thing to do. After all, it was rather late, and he would hate for something to happen to Elias...He would just have to strive to ensure that it wasn't his own monster that ended up coming out. coded by Mura
