Melanie rolled her eyes at his judgmental words. He sounded like her father, her brother even. Her family was so harsh towards vampires, more specifically the purebloods. She didn't think that they had done anything wrong. It was perhaps treasonous for her to think this way, but she had no problem with the purebloods of today. Most of them seemed nice enough, and now that the monarchy was abolished, they had far less power than what they once had -which also seemed good, right? However, she didn't expect Caelan to think like her. Many hunters didn't.
"You and Devan have started the real hunter training type stuff right? I was only asking because I was curious what you'd say. " And she hadn't entirely been disappointed. She could have scripted a similar line from Devan as well. 'They're not trustworthy'. Melanie could very well disagree, but she knew that Devan would likely say the same as Caelan. They were both so stiff, it was almost a wonder if they were even close in age.
Caelan's latter dialogue though had her confused and questioning. What did he mean by that? Then something inside of her clicked and she worried that maybe he was talking about her dog. "Vampires don't drink animal blood!" Or did they? There was still much she didn't know. "Don't scare me! My puppy isn't going to be eaten." Now more than ever he'd encouraged her to hurry and find her pet, just in case he was being serious. Melanie tugged him along so he'd hurry at a pace that was quicker then what they'd been walking.
Though the trees quickly began to dissipate and thin out, until she was stumbling out into the open. The path to the Day Class dorms? Melanie turned her cheek toward the large gate and a small smile slowly spread on her features. How on earth they'd managed to circle back towards the Sun dorm was beyond her, but the sight before her was far more distracting. Melanie let go of Caelan and ran toward Devan, who was playing with her dog at the gate. Once her puppy saw her though, he darted to her as well. Mel scooped him up and squeezed him tight before kissing the dog on the head, overjoyed that he was safe. "Don't run away like that ever again." She scolded the mutt, carefully setting him down only to leap into Devan's arms and cling to him in a tight hug.
He chuckled awkwardly, sincerely surprised to see this girl, but more importantly with Caelan of all people. He pet her head awkwardly, until she pulled away from him and smacked the boy in the chest. Thankfully he was, for the most part, healed so it hardly had much of an effect on him. "I've been wondering what happened to you, you jerk!" "Sorry! I'm sorry. I've sorta been bed ridden, and really distracted I guess." He replied, smiling at her though rubbing the back of his neck anxiously -a nervous tick he had.

Your forever is all that I need
Please stay as long as you need He hated all pure bloods minus maybe Alastor. Though he wasn't a fan of that man either. He wanted to murder the pure bloods and the noble that screwed up his life. He'd be happy right now if they had just backed off. Let Devan's little girl friend have her opinion he gave up caring what people thought. It only reminded him just how annoying people were. Mostly girls. Why did he make friends again? This was so stupid. What was he even doing? Right now it probably didn't mean much of anything. But what the heck did he know? Seriously just what did anyone know? Caelan kept to himself for reasons, and those reasons were better left not talked about. More or less. Now that he was thinking about these things anyway. He just walked with her and shrugged. He almost didn't care what she had to say. Like this girl was of any importance to him. Really he felt that she was just digging into this way too much. Way more then might actually be needed.
"Well yea of course we did. Doesn't really matter though. You want to know more go ask Devan. He's the chatter box after all. Whatever, your dog is close and not likely in a blood suckers hands. This place leads back to the dorms anyway." Maybe now she'd go away. He'd at least be safe from dealing with her for now. That sounded like a plan to him, mostly. Either way he'd rather just shrug this off. Go on about his own way somehow. Rather then letting those things get to him again. She had no idea what he went through. What he had to see, and she was never going to find out. He flat out refused to tell her any of it. She didn't need to know, she could go cuddle up to Devan. And he'd just disappear. He didn't need to see them clinging to each other and being all friendly. He'd rather avoid all bull shit like that if he could.
He just shrugged, this girl had bugged him from the start. And as they walked, and she found her stupid mutt. Caelan just twirled his hair. He didn't want to deal with any of this. It'd only keep on bothering him even longer right now. She had no idea what she was bringing up or causing. "Tch. Well you two have fun. I have rounds to finish and make sure the little princess doesn't get away again. If she or that puppy gets hurt I won't say I told you so." He huffed, and tried to calm his temper. Though he did smile a little bit more around Devan. He was faking happy again, his attitude minus the first comment had completely changed. He wouldn't look right at them. They were hugging and guys didn't do that. So Caelan didn't even want to watch what he knew he couldn't have anymore. Maybe with her here, Devan would be happier.
He had not said a word after that. Let her do it, she was the one who could touch Devan without it seeming Gay. Caelan wanted to laugh over that, he really did. But his chest just hurt too much to do those things. |

Melanie frowned at him, still displeased, though as she heard Caelan's voice behind her she glanced over her shoulder and her expression quickly softened. It had only been for a moment, but she realized she'd forgotten about leaving Cael behind. Already she felt bad for it, but the way the boy spoke made her feel even worse. "Why does he sound so mad?" The girl muttered towards Devan but he was already ahead of her. "Hey, Caelan wait!" He called out to the boy.
Her eyes grew wide just a fraction, startled to hear Devan yelling so loudly while right next to her. Melanie glanced back at him, before stepping aside so she wouldn't be in the way as he moved past her. She reached down to pick up her puppy, and followed him, seeing as how she couldn't miss out on what was going on. It was bizarre, that even she could sense some awkward sort of tension between them. She glanced over at Devan as he stopped, waiting for him to say something but when he didn't and the tension grew worse she quickly interjected before things got worse.
"Caelan helped me find my way back. I'm sorry I troubled you." At least she assumed he was being distant because he was bothered by her. It seemed obvious and she wasn't slow at reading those around her. Devan had many questions to ask this girl, among them why she even had a dog on campus, but he was far too preoccupied with his concern for Caelan above all else. "You've been out here long enough Cael. I've been waiting for you to come back, let's just go inside."
Melanie looked from Devan to Caelan, feeling suddenly like some sort of third wheel. Were they fighting? She'd never seen Devan so worried for someone before...he sounded like a mother. Mel kept quiet though, curious what this little scene would develop into.

Your forever is all that I need
Please stay as long as you need What could he do? This would probably not end up changing matters either. At this moment he wondered just what he might be getting into. Seriously what could he end up thinking. Caelan wanted to get out of here, though it'd probably not end up meaning much. Like all of this would even end up helping. He'd rather shrug this off. Deal with in it another way for that matter. With a small sigh he wondered why they were getting in his way. This was already not something he wanted to deal with it. More or less he felt that he was not in place here. He shouldn't be here. Caelan would be better off somewhere else. Like working, his body felt tired but he didn't want to stop basically. He pretty much ignored the two of them talking.
He didn't look back when Devan called out for him. Why did he do that? He should be focusing on his friend. Caelan wasn't important right now. He had hunter duties to do more or less. "What?" His tone didn't sound mad when he was talking straight to Devan. Even if he couldn't and wouldn't look at him. This was already irritating enough. He did not want to deal with this since it wasn't going to do him any good either right now. He almost didn't care what this was about. This wasn't something he wanted to deal with.
Why? Go back, as if. He didn't need to go back with her there. She would just get in his way, and it'd be really annoying at that. Though of course he'd leave that alone. People didn't need to know what he was feeling right now. Emotions were awkward beasts, and all he wanted was them to go away. But like that'd happen it'd just be way too easy then. "I'm perfectly fine but whatever. You won't give up until I go back with you anyway. You shouldn't be waiting for me." He huffed, this was already just how he was. He'd keep on pouting for now. Though like it'd end up changing anything either.
He felt tired, and he was just doing his best to pretend he wasn't tired anymore or anything. But like it'd work. Go figure for Caelan he had no luck at this point. Not his best idea apparently. |

Melanie had no clue what was going on, but Caelan was right to think that Devan wouldn't give up. He didn't want to press anything with this girl around, paranoid that she'd start questioning him. He didn't want her to know what had happened with the vampire and how he'd gotten hurt. Though little did he realize that Mel was already starting to worry. As Caelan spoke she looked at him, gauging both of their reactions as he replied to Devan.
It felt like she wasn't even supposed to be here, but for some reason the thought of leaving them while they were like this seemed like a bad idea. The tension did make it seem like they were angry, and she didn't want them to fight once she was away. "Hey Caelan...Why don't you come inside. It's really late, and you should probably get some rest." She didn't care if Devan got mad at her for speaking before he could, but even as she glanced over at the tall brunette he seemed so out of it to even complain. It was as if she wasn't even there, and Melanie was beginning to feel hurt because of it.
With a huffed sigh, she frowned at them both and stepped forward towards Caelan. She reached out to grab his wrist and attempted to tug him along, back towards the school dorms where he belonged -though not before giving Devan a harsh look. He was being so mean to her. After not talking for weeks, he was now ignoring her too. She wanted to shove him hard, but it wouldn't do anything to punish him for what he'd done. She'd figure something out one way or another though. "Boys are so ridiculously annoying." The girl grumbled under her breath as she tried to walk Caelan back to the dorms, if he'd even let her.

Your forever is all that I need
Please stay as long as you need Caelan wanted to just disappear but like that'd work, it'd only end up causing issues for him. Something he should have already been more then aware of at this point anyway. What could he do? He had a moment where he didn't feel like he was in a right place. Perhaps. Caelan just wondered what his ex boyfriend was even doing. This made him feel so confused. But at that same moment he'd rather just not deal with anything. Her, Devan, or anything. No he wanted to make all of those images in his head go away. At least for now. What was she even talking about. Caelan didn't need to rest, no he'd be fine. This was probably not important anyway. The boy thought he'd be fine anyway.
"...Fine. I won't get out of this anyway it seems. So whatever. let's go before those vampires show up." He didn't mean that he was just making some form of an excuse. Something so he didn't have to say he was agreeing with them. Because really Caelan wasn't. He didn't want to go anywhere with them. At least not right now, so what was he going to say? How could he figure this out anyway. It was a bit strange at this point. What could he do? It'd probably not end up meaning much of anything by now. Go figure what little luck he even had. Maybe he should have gone about this a different way but like that ever happened right? Not exactly his best idea at this point.
He almost didn't feel like resting. What good would that do him anyway? But he'd keep that to himself. Best to not let people realize just what he might be feeling, at least not right now. Caelan's emotions were so complicated. And he almost didn't know what to do with them either at this point. How could he? Devan didn't even know who he was anymore, so of course things weren't as easy as he wished they would be. He didn't even know what to do he was just too tired to fight. So he'd go along, only for Devan. Nothing and no one else mattered to him at this point.
Caelan did not say a word he would just keep going, or well letting her drag him along. Really this didn't matter, it wasn't entirely his problem. Or so he thought, but of course he had a lot going through his head right now. Not all of it was good. And not all of it was bad either. |

"Definitely not." She replied to Caelan as she tugged him along, and headed within the Day class gate. She had no idea what was going on between these two boy's, but it just seemed ridiculous if it was seriously keeping Caelan from even going back to his room to get some sleep. And most people thought that girls were the difficult, complicated ones -Melanie would beg to differ. She could hear Devan sigh behind them, and knew that he must be rolling his eyes at her but she didn't care. He could complain all he wanted about her later.
Once they were inside the warm comfort of the sun dorm, Melanie would let go of Caelan and turn to them both. Devan was shutting one of the double doors, but she was only focused on Cael. A small grin appeared in her features, feeling slightly embarrassed for making him follow her around and taking him away from his duties. However, she hoped to encourage him to take care of himself, especially since this school was new to them all. "Sorry for uh..getting in your way tonight."
Melanie didn't like feeling as if she had bothered others. It was uncomfortable and it made her feel slightly guilty though only towards Caelan. Devan she didn't care about. She knew him well enough that he wouldn't care. "Maybe I'll see you at school sometime." Perhaps during lunch or between passing, Melanie truly hoped that she got to spend time with these two. She was so intrigued by Caelan. He was rigid but she knew he was a good person.
She noticed Devan peeking over Caelan's shoulder, but didn't say a thing about it. In truth he was curious what the dog was about still, and why she was only talking to Caelan as if he'd committed a heinous crime and wasn't worth the effort to talk to. Without warning Melanie leaned forward and hugged Cael. With her pup still in her arms she couldn't squeeze him as hard as she would have liked but this would have to suffice for now.
This time when she parted from Cael she glanced up at Devan for a brief moment, giving him the slightest attention with her eyes before returning it to his friend. "Good night Caelan." She said timidly, taking a small step back before turning on her heel and heading for the staircase that led to the girls wing of the dorms. As she made it mid way up the steps Devan frowned and retorted "What about me??" But instead of saying a word she glanced over her shoulder and stuck her tongue out at him, then proceeded to head up the stairs at a faster pace. |

Your forever is all that I need
Please stay as long as you need Why was she so clingy? Why did she want to keep dragging him along? This was already irritating enough. So not his style at this point. It felt strange enough to be on the odd end of some of this stuff. What could he even do? Right now it might not matter but Caelan barely knew this girl. Who was she? Besides Devan's friend anyway. That was already obvious. Caelan mostly ignored Devan's sigh it wasn't his business. Though he felt bad. Not like he asked for some girl to give him attention. No Caelan was not like that, he didn't understand how girls would force things on him. To the boy that had become strange enough. He was not sure where to go with this. She was looking at him, and wanted to say something? Apparently.
"Whatever just keep your puppy with you. And don't let him wander into the woods again. They might want to make a meal out of him." That was all he said, right now he'd rather not end up dealing with it. Not right now. Perhaps he needed to but Caelan was tired. He wanted to sleep. Curling up with Devan sounded pretty good right now. Even if Devan didn't have a clue who he was. Or knew anything about him at this point. Well about that other side of the relationship they shared. That was really all his mind was on right now.
Well for a second then it faded off into sleeping. He didn't want to sway on his feet or fall before the girl here. With Devan he could, but her no. She was already probably thinking he needed to be cared for. Or something along those lines anyway, at this moment. "Yea bye...just be careful." He spoke with that familiar grumble, Caelan wasn't too bothered with her now. All he wanted was her to go so he could sleep. That was all, and it couldn't be so bad now could it? This was just his life, it had always been for that matter. Basically, this was one of those things he didn't discuss with anyone.
He flinched a little at the hug and calmed down. This was not so bad to him, never really had to been. He just gave a small nod then waved to her. "Night. Come on Devan let's go. I want to go to bed" He did not let go of Devan as he dragged the other male off, she gave Caelan attention but not Devan? This was already weird enough and he didn't know what to do about any of that.. |

Devan watched as a third wheel while the two talked. It was so rare when he got quiet like this but it was just as rare to see Caelan associate with others when he wasn't around -which was slim to none. They were always with one another. If Devan was around, then so was Caelan. It was only recently when coming to this school that they'd been apart for a few hours out of the day, however that was only because Devan was incapable of getting too far away from his bed. At any rate he was far more intrigued by the two talking, that he didn't even want to interrupt. Melanie was as he'd remembered her, bubbly, talkative, and slightly troublesome. Their parents had been friends for years but he didn't see her often due to the distance in which they lived. Their relationship therefore, was solely long distance. Though seeing her hear had been a surprise, he was honestly glad that she was going to be around. He did miss her smiling face, and the annoying side of her would just give him something to do. Devan was overall pleased to find that her and Caelan had met. Though slightly disappointed that he didn't get to introduce them first, he subsided in that thought while seeing how well they got along. He shouldn't have expected anything less. Devan watched Mel walking up the stairs with her dog, and glanced down at Caelan while he felt the boy suddenly tugging him along. He blinked, a bit started at first until he could catch up to his friends pace. "W-what's wrong with you huh? Are you flustered or something?" He teased, unable to help himself. "Looks like you two were getting along. Did you just meet her? ..and what was with the dog?" Devan knew it was against the rules, but if Caelan was okay with it, then he wouldn't tell the headmaster either. Besides, he didn't really want Melanie to get in trouble. @ caelan || he's like..i dunno whats happening! lol

Your forever is all that I need
Please stay as long as you need Caelan wanted this to end, his emotions were already on edge. Didn't need to add onto it with some dang girl. Not like he knew her. She was Devan's friend not his. Just apparently he was talked about ALL the time. And he truly didn't get why. Not like he had any important to anyone basically. Caelan was just Caelan and he happened to be there. Nothing else really mattered did it? Right? He only rolled his eyes and glared back at Devan. He wasn't flustered he was irritated, his rounds had been interrupted by a girl and her mutt. And the girl was someone Devan knew. How many girls did he know? Caelan had to remember they weren't dating anymore though so he just let it go. His chest hurt, and he was tired. His physical wounds had healed, the emotional ones were about as bothersome as a thorn in his side. And he hated every single second of it. He needed to forget, to tell himself to constantly forget. That was all he could do. Caelan had no other use but to be a left behind hunter. Probably for the best. Feelings were dangerous and pathetic at that.
He'd have to deal with it, he didn't want to forget Devan. Those things they did. But of course like it'd end up changing. So with a small sigh he wondered just what to get into. What to do about this? All of it was so confusing to him and very strange at that. Anyway what was he supposed to do. Devan loved to tease him but Devan didn't know a damn thing he'd never learn. Caelan was going out of his way to even tell anything. He barely did anything around Devan anymore. He just curled up on his side of the bed and stayed there. If they shared beds at all. Then the boy went back to sleep in his own bed after having a few break downs or something. Not exactly his best idea but of course things happened, Caelan was dealing with his feelings. Not in the best way he could but who really cared right.
"Who knows go ask her. Apparently her dog got out in the woods. That's all. So she's your friend huh? Well at least you get to see her again huh. Shouldn't you be in bed anyway?" Caelan was avoiding things, some of the questions and just yawning. He was tired but didn't want to sleep. After all when he slept he dreamed of things that hurt him. The pain in his chest was not something he wanted to think of. That was all really. This shouldn't have mattered all that much anyway. So what was he going to say? How was he going to say this either. It almost didn't matter, he just tugged Devan to the dorm room and walked through the door after letting go of his hand. Caelan just smiled and acted totally normal again. It couldn't be so bad for him to do that anyway.
"You should ask her about the dog, when you can get time away from this room. Or whatever. I mean if you are that curious. It can just be overlooked for now." Caelan had actually forgot that they weren't allowed with how she mentioned knowing Devan. And then the other things. Caelan tried not so sigh, he knew Devan hated when he did that. So of course he wouldn't allow it either. He needed to be how he always was, even if he wanted to entirely break down and pretend those emotions never existed. He only smiled back at Devan before shoving him down on the bed. "Get your ass back in bed, before I tie you to it and you really can't go anywhere. I'm going to take a shower before bed I guess." He mumbled, and started pulling off his uniform, at least his shirt, tie and what not. |

"Er..well." He reverted his gaze, lowering his eyes after feeling even slightly guilty for picking on Caelan a moment ago. The look he'd given him said how he felt and admittedly Devan regretted what he'd said. However, this wasn't why he was stammering now. He had to answer Cae's question about his sleep, which would have been easier if he didn't have to lie. "I guess I couldn't really sleep." Saying that wasn't so bad. At least he wasn't lying, but rather omitting the full truth. After that night with the nightmare, he'd been fearful to even go to sleep. It was worse when Caelan wasn't around, and he had to lay in bed in a silent room all to himself. The silence was far too deafening. It aggravated him so much that even Devan, the person who could almost always fall asleep practically anywhere, succumb to tossing and turning. He'd decided then, after about an hour or so of such torture, that he'd wait for Caelan to come back. "I thought I'd wait for you instead." After they entered the room he lifted his eyes to Cael and watched the boy as he shut the door. Devan took that as a sign that they were both going to bed now, so he walked over to the edge of his bed. However, as Caelan pushed him over he fell onto the mattress without much choice regardless. It didn't hurt, thankfully, but as Devan rolled over onto his back he gave Caelan an immature pout. "You're so mean." He whined, ".But hey that sounds kinky." And just like that he was back to his normal self. He crossed an ankle over the other, and rested his arms behind his head as he watched Caelan begin to undress. "How was the patrol? See any Night Class?" Devan wanted to hear something exciting since he got very little amusement while being stuck in their room all day. He could only live vicariously through Caelan and it made him feel so utterly lame. He was certain that the boy was used to the questions by now. @ caelan || you gotta love that mouth of his

Your forever is all that I need
Please stay as long as you need Caelan was just waiting, wondering. What would Devan end up saying after all? This confused him to begin with at this point anyway. Perhaps he needed to just shrug this off somehow. At least maybe. Who knew, he felt a tad bit confused. Maybe because of that girl and how tired he felt. That would probably suit this matter. Apparently. He kept waiting to hear what Devan would say? Though it'd probably not end up mattering. So what was he going to say? For now he'd rather just not dig up the bad memories pretty much. Since it was likely that wouldn't end so well for him. Not at this moment. Devan couldn't sleep though? That didn't sound very good to him either, but of course he'd keep his mouth shut about that. Caelan didn't mind Devan waiting. But what if he got hurt. Not that lecturing would do any good either.
"Yea yea well next time wait in the dorms okay? Or tell me, jeez. When you are better you can come out with me instead, but you won't get that way if you stay out here in the cold." Yes it wasn't that cold, but it wasn't warm either so of course he said that. This was just his way of life. And how he did things. It wasn't likely that his mind would change. Devan needed to get better before he was ever allowed back on missions or the rounds around the school. Caelan got so exhausted because he worked every single day almost. And it took him awhile to get back to the dorms. So he'd just pass out in the living room, or somewhere else. He didn't even care if he slept on the floor when he was tired.
"You pervert, It's not like I meant it that way. But if you want it that way, maybe I'll do it." He rolled his eyes. Of course not like he'd care, Devan had always been a pervert. He knew that much already. And he wasn't about to change his mind because of anything basically. Not at this point anyway. He only rolled his eyes and then settled back down on the chair next to the bed after throwing his clothes off and putting his pjs on. "Jeez, you are weird. But whatever just a few hungry brats who wanted food, and got to kick them down hard. Then that woman with her dog showed up in the woods. So yea whatever. You should sleep now, can you sleep?" He looked at Devan, he wouldn't comment on things, since it was far from his place to do so anyway.
He'd keep on whining for a little while. Maybe only because he was tired. Caelan did whine quite a bit when he was tired. That couldn't be so surprising now could it? After all things happened anyway. So for now he'd just learn to deal with it basically. Best thing he could do. Caelan thought about going to bed but that'd probably not end up doing him any good. He was a bit too wired but also tired? how strange was that? |

Devan grinned timidly at Caelan's concern, secretly enjoying the fact that his friend was so worried. It made him feel special that he had someone around to worry for him, even if he thought that such worries weren't necessary. With his heightened ability to heal, at least quicker than the average human, he'd been feeling much better lately. Devan was certain that he'd be okay by the end of the week, though he was keeping it a secret from Cael until he had the chance to go to the headmaster. It would be fun to surprise the boy. "Fine fine." He replied to Caelan's remark, though once he confessed to how his night had gone Devan was far more interested about the latter. "You met Night class? Where were they at? Were there any Day Class around?" Not only was Devan curious, but also worried. It was against the school rules to be sneaking around at night, and even though Melanie would have gotten in trouble for doing so, a Night class student would surely receive the worst of the punishment. Devan sat up in bed, pushing himself into a sitting position, until he was able to rest his hands in his lap. He was glad to see that Caelan was okay, but it did bother him that the boy had to go out on his own. Most nights it seemed to uneventful, but Devan didn't actually think any of the Night class would actually disobey the rules with a pureblood around. This wasn't good. The concern about Devan's lack of sleep was minute compared to this. "Are you okay?"@ caelan || notes

Your forever is all that I need
Please stay as long as you need This day had gone awkward fast, first Melanie then Devan, and they knew each other. Just what was he supposed to say to that? So far he couldn't think of a darn thing. Not that it mattered. Who could blame him. Things were already awkward, and he was pushed into the dorms with Devan. Or well he dragged Devan back into the dorms. But who cared. Those details weren't entirely important either were they? That girl was gone. He felt a bit better, even if work had stressed him out a little bit. He'd keep that to himself. Caelan always kept those things to himself. It could not have been that surprising now could it? He'd just have to figure this out some other way instead. And at least somehow manage to hope for the best. Even if it might not work out so well. Devan still had no idea what Caelan felt. Or how he was, after all he'd sorta closed off to everyone now. Though he barely made that obvious to Devan at least. He just couldn't bring himself to do that to his ex and his friend.
"Doesn't really matter. Just before I went into the woods, they were lurking around mumbling about things. But they went back to the night class for classes. So whatever." He didn't care, Caelan would leave details out. He didn't need to let people figure it out. That'd be stupid enough as it was anyway. He'd just end up causing more problems then it might actually end up being worth at this moment in time. "Not really any day class. Most of them went away by then. So whatever, it's not important anyway now is it? Right?" He did not get what Devan was even going on about. Why did any of that actually matter. It wasn't like he was pushing on things, or what not. No he only wanted to go to bed. For at least a little while. Sleep sounded so good with how tired he was right now anyway. But did it really have any importance? Probably not.
He only looked at him and tilted his head. " Yea I'm fine...just tired and sore." He mumbled and flopped over on the bed, he didn't sleep away from Devan usually. Because Devan always needed him so he'd settle down on the other side of Devan. Why was Devan worried? What point did worrying about Caelan even have. Since of course Caelan felt just fine, but he'd just keep that to himself right now. Trying to dig into things might only end up making it a lot worse. Which he didn't want. At least. But would Devan just go to sleep this time? Or stay up and keep talking to him. |

He was relieved to hear that there weren't any Day Class near the straggling vampires, but it confused him as to why Caelan wasn't more concerned about this. Devan was worried for obvious reasons. He didn't want anyone getting hurt. The innocent Day Class students were so ignorant. They didn't realize who, or rather what, their peers were. If anything happened to them, part of the blame would fall on Devan and Caelan -the schools prefects. However, if Caelan didn't seem so worried, then he'd try to go along with him, even if it went against his instincts. They were friends and Devan trusted Cael entirely. He was a good hunter, and his skills weren't to be reckoned with. "..okay." He said belatedly, both in response to the boy's inquiries and his dismissal that he was alright. This however, didn't mean that Devan fully believed him. Caelan seemed more then just tired, but completely wiped out. Once again leaving him to feel all the more guilty for not being able to recover sooner. He watched Caelan as he climbed into bed with him. Still sitting up, he ran a hand through his hair and relaxed his shoulders. "Too tired to take a shower?" He inquired, noticing then that Caelan was mostly undressed. Had he forgotten that he had even mentioned that he was going to bath first? The thought of this made a small chuckle bubble up from his chest. @ caelan || notes
