Your forever is all that I need
Please stay as long as you need What was he even doing, he had been out and working most of the day. Not on hunter stuff for once. No he was busy with something else. And he had barely thought about it. So what if he'd been taking his day off. He worked, it didn't matter. With a shrug of his shoulders he just tried not to yawn. He felt so tired, and as he stayed in the bed he only looked up. His eyes would scan over the ceiling, by now he wondered what Devan was doing. And maybe how he was doing. His wounds had probably healed by now right? At least one could hope they had anyway. At least one couldn't blame him for hoping so. Caelan felt a bit better now too yet he found it hard to sleep. His body didn't want to rest, even if his mind wanted to. Go figure what luck he had right now it seemed. With a small sigh he wondered what he was supposed to do. Caelan turned over to look at his friend. Trying to see what he was doing.
If he was even actually asleep. So far he wasn't sure if he might be. After all Devan could fake sometimes, and Caelan already knew that. He learned enough from the time they'd be around each other for years. Like at the house, and so on. He wasn't going to to talk about that. He only sat up and moved to lean against the wall, playing with the bracelet on his right wrist. He didn't know why he bothered anymore. Those memories kept lingering and tugging at his heart strings. As invisible as those heart strings might be. Devan and the memories still knew how to tug at them like no tomorrow. And he hated every single moment of it. But he'd keep that to himself right now. For at least a little while anyway.
He just wanted Devan to remember him, so he moved to crawl off of his bed and over to Devan's. Looking at the body in that bed. He only sighed a bit again, and tried to smile. It was small, and wasn't going to last for long. He already knew that by now. How could he handle it? Seriously. Just what was he going to do. It might not end up helping either perhaps. For the moment anyway. He'd just have to figure this out, and do this on his own but he leaned over Devan and brushed the bangs out of his boyfriend's face. Leaning down to plant a gentle kiss on his lips while he slept away. He'd never notice or remember any of this. He knew that already.
Caelan choked back a small sob, as he just leaned back away from Devan. He was so cute like that and the swimmer had made a mistake of even doing this. But as he turned away and tried to get away. He didn't think someone would stop him. |

Devan didn't stir so much as his chest falling and rising deeply. Per usual he slept as hard as a rock, and far better than he had the first few days he'd had to deal with his injuries. He was almost entirely healed up after spending most his days in bed, or lazing around. There were still bruises left on his torso and parts of his legs, but they had very much diminished over the span of week. This allowed him better sleep, that was as well far less painful. As Caelan got up, he heard nothing, nor did he feel him as he pressed his lips gently to his features. How shocked he would have been if he had been aware. However he was already in a dream that was slowly turning unpleasant. It wasn't often when Devan dreamed, and even less often when he actually remembered them after waking, but this felt real. He felt as though he were awake. They were walking down the street towards that neighborhood. Devan locked his car and jogged until he caught up to Caelan. They were relaxed, calm. They were both smiling, ironically with weapons in their hands, but it was nothing out of the ordinary. They were used to hunting creatures in the night, at least most recently with their mentors urging them to take light missions on their own. They were getting to that age and Devan didn't mind it so much. Caelan didn't seem to be bothered by this either. Though the sun set far quicker than normal. It was eerie, and haunting. The air was somewhat thick with fog that was accumulating quicker by the second. Though before it became too difficult to see, Devan spotted one of the vampires at the end of the road. His heart thudded, his movement instantly in gear as he ran forward -unintentionally disregarding Caelan. He had to catch that monster, before he harmed anyone. It was his job, his duty. The fog grew thicker, making it difficult to see, but Devan fired his guns in the direction of the Level E with half confidence. Though he hear nothing in response. It became silent. A dead silence that crept under his skin and made him feel flush and light headed. Then he remembered Caelan. His eyes grew wide as Devan quickly turned around to see that his friend was no where in sight. "Caelan?!" He called out to him, stepping forward -heading back in hopes of finding him. "Caelan!" Dread and fear trickled into him. The notion that he was entirely alone in this dark night made him feel sick, trapped, and isolated. "Cally!!" He shouted once more but his voice was only met with echoes. He set his pace to a run, until he felt his shoe snag into something that wouldn't allow him to move. He stumbled, dropping his weapons so he would stop himself from falling into the ground. His elbows met with the earth, the street turning into woods. He dug his nails into the dirt as he attempted to push himself up, but it was no use. When he glanced down at his shoe to see what was keeping him there roots from the earth slithered out from the ground and wrapped around his legs. It felt so familiar, the sight of it even was familiar and he felt terrified as if he were expected what would come next. Devan muttered his friends name in his sleep, faint and airy but audible still, and while the latter of his dream played out he groaned, stifling the memory of pain he'd felt at that time. "Kuh..Nng" He groaned, his breath picking up suddenly as he swallowed hard. @ caelan || scary nightmares are scary

Your forever is all that I need
Please stay as long as you need He didn't think Devan would sleep that way, but then again he had to remember. Devan had always been able to sleep like a rock, whether Caelan did anything or not really. That was all. For the moment he had just kissed his ex, and that was that. He wasn't going to comment on this too much. Why would he? Right now it might not end up doing him any good. Right? Perhaps he needed to shake this off somehow. Right? If any of that was possible he'd have found another way to handle it. Yes so far no he hadn't. Caelan only wanted to pull away. If he managed to get away then he'd be alright. Hopefully. At the very least this was all he could think of right now. Was how did Devan feel? Had he remembered anything? Was it some sick hope that Caelan wanted him to remember. It wasn't good for them, but he still wanted his ex to remember something. So he'd stop referring to him as his ex, and be able to call him his boyfriend again. That was all really. Now he knew this was just how things had to go regardless at this point. He really did not want to leave this like that. It'd only end up bothering him.
So Caelan looked over at Devan again and tried to fix his blankets. Only to feel that something wasn't right. And it worried him a lot. But he couldn't force this. Forcing things never worked. And he hated the very idea of being stuck in this situation. Or even feeling like this at all. Right now it had become his life at last just a little bit. Though he'd never tell anyone that, not at all. What good would it even do? He was already more then aware he had to focus on his feelings and figure them out. Find some way to get rid of them at the very least. That's all he'd be able to do right now. "You are a moron. You should have let me go with you that night. You'd be okay and still...nevermind." He stopped talking and just sighed. Fixing the blanket again he could only glance at Devan. He didn't seem peaceful. What was he going through in his head?
He wanted to say something else but he couldn't. He heard Devan, that groan. Something was wrong here, and his hands instantly went to the boy's shoulders. "Devan wake up dammit! It's just a nightmare, wake up!" He tried to shake him but not enough to hurt his wounds. After all making them any worse was not his wish. After they had finally started to heal. What was he going to do. All he was trying to do was just wake him up. Before something bad happened, the fear was obvious in his voice. Caelan sounded really scared outside of that nightmare if Devan could even heard him. He tried to get his attention again. Slapping his face a little, and then thinking. What else could he do? Grab his nose maybe. He'd sputter away then or at least he'd hope so. But was it even possible? Probably not.
"Come on it's just a nightmare! Devan wake up!" He was still trying to get him to move, but no of course Devan was probably going to make this really difficult. Whether Caelan liked it or not. This was just going to be really bad wasn't it? He wished he could snap him out of it like he used to. But that didn't apply right now. |

Devan groaned in his sleep while his horrors came to life in his dream. The sound of Caelan screaming amongst the fog made him shudder, but no matter how much he struggled the roots from the tree beside him grew tighter and tighter as he tried. Caelan, what had happened to him? Where was he? Another vampire appeared, different from the other. Blonde and proper, he was wearing a suite and had a formal way about him as he walked slowly towards Devan. Though the human boy already had a sense of what was to come. He was going to die. This vampire was going to kill him. Devan gasped in his sleep, before he truly began to shout. "Ah!..Aaagh!" He growled, his hands lifted in the blanket, trying to push himself up, and push that vile creature away from him. Though in his sleep he didn't realize at all that Caelan was the one trying to wake him up. He wasn't being attacked, but dreaming. However the reality within Devan's mental theater was too real. It felt real. He was breathing heavily, feeling constricted. He was being suffocated, and even worse, that vampire wouldn't stop. As he got closer Devan could see fangs extend. Those sharp canines were horrifying. "No!" He cried out, regardless of the fact that there was no one in sight that would hear, or that could help him. He was going to die. That vampire was going to kill him. Seconds before the vampire could sink his teeth into Devan's neck he opened his eyes and sat up, gasping for air and feeling unable to breath. Initially the figure in front of him scared him, as he wasn't sure who it was. Only until his fear stricken eyes met with Caelan's did he register that it was his friend, and instead of pushing him away he pulled him closer. His arms wrapped around the boy quickly, as Devan panted heavily and stifled a groan from the anxiety that he felt and the sheer panic he'd expressed. Caelan was alive...It was just a dream... It was just a dream. @ caelan || kind of sad...im sorry devan ><

Your forever is all that I need
Please stay as long as you need He would just keep trying to wake him up, he couldn't let Devan stay that way. Not now. What was he going to do? Why wouldn't Devan wake up? The nightmare was bad so he needed to get up. Right now. He felt bad. Maybe this was his fault, if he had saved Devan sooner but he couldn't dwell on that right now. It'd probably not end up helping. With a small sigh he just tried to shake him again. Devan needed to wake up. And he wanted him to be alright. For the most part, even if it might not do anything for them. For now. He wasn't entirely sure where to go on this one. He tried to cover his mouth, or do something to keep him from freaking out. But that was not working out so well. What was Devan even dreaming about. The nightmare had to be bad enough and yet he'd rather not deal with it. Since it'd probably just getting him into trouble. Whether he liked it or not at this moment in time. "Come on! wake up dammit!" He grumbled, and wished he could shake him out of this.
Yet it didn't seem to be working. Why wasn't Devan waking up? That annoyed him a lot. Yet he kept it to himself, perhaps he'd rather just let this go. Not that it'd do him any good. At this moment it was probably not going to help him either really. All he could think of was Devan, and getting him out of that place. He didn't need to let him get hurt anymore basically. Caelan looked at Devan as he was startled awake. Caelan almost fell back on his butt he was so uncertain about this. He didn't even know what to do. It'd probably not end up helping him. Just why did this have to happen? He was already a bit awkward, and stuff. So he'd learn to deal with it. "Devan are you alright? Please, what happened. Shh you are awake now, it'll be fine." He flinched a little bit when he was hugged, but he didn't shove him off. He only held him, and rubbed his back.
"Shh it's fine, okay. Look I'm right here with you, now what was it about?" He had to ask, and he would just keep on saying that. Basically. Maybe it didn't mean much of anything but he still was trying to make this better for his ex. Just trying to cheer him up even if he didn't know what Devan would do or say. Or what exactly he might have ended up seeing pretty much. This wasn't so bad, and yet he'd rather just not dig into that. Pretty much. He had a feeling all he could do was try to calm Devan down. Or let him realize he was safe now and nothing would end up getting him here.

He was shaking. His hands were shaking even, as he hold onto Caelan tightly. He was talking, and he heard his friend speak but he couldn't, at least not right away. This person was tangible in front of him, for Devan could actually feel him. He was warm, comforting. Even the sound of his voice made Devan feel more at ease, but in truth he was simply relieved that Caelan was here and breathing. When was the last time he'd had a dream, ever? Perhaps when he was five or six, where he'd had the habit of sleep walking for a short time. Though this felt so much different. He was glad he hadn't walked around in this. He could have killed someone. "Caelan...You were...and I was..." He couldn't even bring himself to say it, even if Caelan did want to know what the dream was about. Devan didn't want either of them to relive it. He lowered his eyes to the bed just past Caelan's shoulder, before he buried his features against the nape of the boy's neck and shuddered an uneven sigh. He could feel the lump in his throat build, and his heart tighten in his chest. His breathing had stabilized for the most part, but he still felt so terrified. "I'm sorry...I'm so sorry." Devan may not have had a real reason to apologize, but he felt that he had. He'd left him alone, told him not to follow closely. He could have protected him. If he failed like this again... He felt as though he'd been goofing off too much. This latest slip up wasn't something to be joked about. They could have died. How on earth could he take the thought of losing his friend so lightly. Before it hadn't seemed as real, but after a vision like that. It had changed his perspective. Devan wouldn't ever do anything like that without Caelan close by again. Never again. @ caelan || be happy cally. devan demands it

Your forever is all that I need
Please stay as long as you need He felt Devan shaking, and only wished he could make it stop. Somehow. For the moment he had a feeling it wasn't going to end so well. Basically. More or less, he'd rather shrug this off instead. What was he trying to get at? What could he do, this might not end up helping him either apparently. He just ran his fingers through the boy's hair. What could he do? Right now he had a feeling it wasn't going to even help him. Or Devan. Caelan just moved his hands down the boy's back to try and calm him down. "Shh you are fine, promise okay. I'll stay up if you need to sleep or anything." He really wondered what would help him. Since he wanted to make sure he was helped enough so he'd be able to sleep. But was that even important? Would he even be able to do any good. Right now he couldn't entirely be certain. This was not something he had been good at before. Before he started dating Devan.
But that was a thought he'd let go of. For now he'd just shrug it off. "Devan. Don't tell me okay, I don't care. Just you need to try and sleep again soon." He wouldn't push him to it. No he'd just try to get him to relax at least. This might end up doing the best he could. What was he supposed to do. Besides just try to his best. He didn't know what else would happen. After all it might not get any easier for him. That dream must have been really bad with how Devan was acting. With how shaky he was. It didn't sound good to him either. But of course he wouldn't force that out at anyone. Pretty much. "It's alright..." This was just not something he wanted to think about. He wanted to calm him down so he tried to get him to lean back onto the bed. This wasn't so bad, he got to hold Devan. He got to remember his past a little bit. The things that his boyfriend no longer knew.
So this was alright. For the moment at least. But he'd rather keep that to himself. Basically. More or less, yet he had a feeling he didn't know what to do. "Sorry for what? There's nothing to be sorry for. We are both fine and you know it. Okay." This was not so bad for him. And yet he'd rather just roll with it. He was still holding onto Devan, and rubbing his back. What was he going to do. At this point it might not end up meaning much. He would still want to stay close to his friend. That mattered. He felt relaxed now, but still worried about Devan. |

Devan accepted the hand running through his hair and down his back, though it confused him as all of his senses returned to the reality around him. Why was Caelan being so kind to him in this way? Perhaps Devan thought that his frustration and silence was making manipulating Caelan's feelings towards him, but that obviously couldn't be true. They'd been friends forever, and he beat himself up for thinking that his own friend wouldn't be worried about him at a time like this. Devan was acting strange after all, that was for certain. As he felt Caelan lean on him, he knew what he was trying to do and he leaned back on the boy so he would be prevented from trying to make him lay back against the bed. "No. I can't!" He insisted, refusing to try and go back to sleep after what he'd just seen, though he was just being irrational. It had just been a dream, but Devan was not used to having them period. He didn't want it to happen again, and certainly not like the one he'd just had. "I can't." He repeated, to himself this time as he closed his eyes and tightened his grip on his friend. When Caelan spoke against his apology, Devan considered that maybe he shouldn't have said those words as well. It didn't really make sense, when his friend put it the way he had, but in the moment it just felt right to say. Not only because Devan had a nightmare involving Caelan being harmed, but because it was his fault that they'd gotten in that mess with the noble. Though, he was far too embarrassed, anxious, and upset to bring that up to justify his apology. "Are you fine?" It didn't seem like a general question in the moment, but as he'd said it he meant it to be. Devan wasn't sure if Cael really was alright or not. His moods were..unpredictable. Devan wondered if Caelan had nightmares too, and if he simply hid his own fears so well that even Devan couldn't see through him. In that case his apology truly was justified. Though it was selfish of him, he just wanted Caelan to say that he was okay even if he wasn't. He just wanted the both of them to be okay. @ caelan || kind of sad...im sorry devan ><

Your forever is all that I need
Please stay as long as you need Caelan chewed his lower lip and just held back the sigh. If he tried to sigh here it'd probably only upset him. Which he didn't want. Simply put. Though right now he had to wonder what he was going to do. Just really. This was out of his comfort zone. He'd tried so hard to block out his emotions, block out his feelings towards Devan. So on and so forth pretty much. This was not something he wanted to deal with, much less think about. He wanted to forget, pretend he never had feelings. Since feelings were rotten creatures to begin with. They had always found some possible way to drag him down and he did not enjoy any of that, and he probably never would at that. No one could push him to enjoy these things so of course why would he? It only made him feel as if things were too complicated, and not important in any form. How was Caelan? He didn't even know that. How could he?
For the moment his head was starting to hurt. Thinking about this way more then he should have, what was his deal. All this stuff happening.Devan having a nightmare, Caelan trying to calm him down and get him to at least lay down a little. That was all he wanted here, Caelan was still tired even if Devan wasn't. So his body wanted to go back to bed. Though he wouldn't while Devan was still awake and scared. That nightmare must have been pretty bad if he saw that, or thought that. Whichever. The nightmares were not good for anyone. Caelan spent most of his time pretending he didn't have any. And lying when he did. A typical nature for him. Hunters didn't always discuss feelings. What was the point of them anyway. They were annoying, and weak. And not something he wanted to deal with, but his feelings for Devan never went away.
"Alright fine, you can't." He wouldn't push him any further, this was not going to help him at all. Not right now, not ever more or less. He'd rather not deal with that. It'd only end up causing more issues then it was worth. And he needed to get Devan to relax eventually. That nightmare might have been bad, but he still needed sleep. They all needed sleep now that he was thinking about it anyway. Sleep would do them some good later on. Though for now he'd just let this go. Figure it out later he said. So on and so forth really. "Huh? Yea...I mean I'm worn out. But I'm fine, really." He wanted to say he wasn't. To say he hurt, and he felt lost. But no Caelan left that to himself. His smiles seemed a lot less forced lately. As if he was just accepting this after all. Though it wasn't bound to happen or last either.
He just nuzzled Devan and held onto him, he wouldn't push him away now. Even if he was tired and sleeping sounded so good right now. It wasn't going to help if he set his mind on things now. He'd rather just pretend none of it even happened. Right? At the very least that'd be alright, or so he thought. |

He said that he was okay, so Devan would accept his words as truth for now. At any rate the feeling of his friend close to him was comforting, and as time ticked on he didn't feel as horrified as he had a moment ago. Reluctantly his arms released Caelan from his hold, letting him go so he could get up if he wanted -though Devan secretly didn't want him to and would likely stop him if he tried. "Did I wake you up?" He muttered, avoiding eye contact as he propped an arm behind himself and ran another hand through his hair. He felt awful. To have woken him up over something like this. He must have really freaked Caelan out. "I didn't mean...It won't happen again." Caelan needed his sleep, they both did, but Devan wasn't so comfortable trying again after a nightmare like that. He swallowed hard again, internally shaking off that wretched feeling in his chest that was causing his heart to twist and thud. @ caelan || he looks stressed as hell right now lol.

Your forever is all that I need
Please stay as long as you need Caelan wanted to just make him sleep, but as if that'd end up working. Devan was hard to work with sometimes. That boy did not want to listen it seemed. Not at all, now that he was thinking about it. Just what could he end up doing? Yet this might not have done any good. At least for now. So what was he going to do? Right now he felt that he might be dwelling over this way too much apparently. So with him trying not to sigh or force Devan into anything he could just look at him. What else was he supposed to do? At this moment anyway. When Devan let go, he just settled back down on the bed. This was awkward. And he didn't know what to do. Or how to handle this either. Maybe it wasn't so good, or bad. But what could he say?
"No I was awake already, you worry too much." He didn't seem bothered by this now. After all he had already been awake. There was no ifs about that. Caelan hadn't been sleeping very well lately. So what was he supposed to do. Just what could he do to make sure this wasn't so bad, or didn't get any worse either. He didn't even care, he'd never care if Devan woke him up. What mattered was would Devan be okay? Was he fine? That nightmare, had it been that bad? Who knew. He felt so lost on all of this right now it seemed. Caelan just wanted to make Devan feel better at the very least. If he could. Right now it might not end up helping, or it might help. Either way he didn't want to think about that right now. Nope he'd rather just forget all of it if he could at all. So far it wasn't going as planned though.
Why would it? He only glanced at Devan and wondered what he was supposed to do. Right now this might not end up helping either. At least right now. "Look I'm fine. Okay, the nightmare wasn't real. It wasn't going to happen again, you know that alright? So trust me. Just lay down, we can watch a movie or something. You will fall asleep between it probably." He only reached over to pet the other male, and wanted to make sure he rested somehow. At the very least right now this was all he could do. He just snuggled up to Devan and tried to make him feel better. But what was this going to do really?
He had a feeling he might not end up doing this properly. But he was trying to take care of Devan. |

Devan lifted his eyes, turning his cheek to look at Caelan as he sat down on his bed. So he hadn't been asleep, that was good -or so he thought in the moment. However, he quickly began to wonder why? Wasn't it late? It was fairly dark within their own room, and even with the window slightly covered Devan knew that it must be sometime in the middle of the night. He glanced over at the clock on his nightstand, the numbers a bright red as they reflected their light onto the counter surface. 2:21am. This only made him wonder more fervently why Caelan had been awake. What could he have been doing up this late. School work? Cael did have a tendency to be a workaholic at times but he was usually always on top of his school stuff. Devan returned his eyes to his friend, expression softening until the mention of them watching a movie arose. He wouldn't have minded if neither of them had to get up, but he didn't want Caelan to go anywhere -even if it were just for a second. He raised his hand to Cae's wrist as the boy petted him, his eyes lowering unable to make contact with him as he was truly embarrassed. "...Don't leave." He muttered, somewhat gruffly, as he tried to play it off though it was all too obvious that he was being too clingy. He couldn't help himself, he needed Caelan. If he could get Caelan to stay by doing what he said, than Devan would lay down just so he wouldn't go, and so he did. He let go of Caelan and scooted back down under the covers. He turned onto his side, back facing the rest of the room as he stared at the wall and the space between it -waiting for Caelan to meet him in the middle. A small sigh escaped him, somewhat sad and dismal. He hadn't meant to cause so much trouble, and make things difficult for the both of them, but something like this had never happened to him before. He wasn't sure what it meant or why it was happening, but he hoped this was some sort of freak occurrence. "What were you doing up?"@ caelan || be happy cally. devan demands it

Your forever is all that I need
Please stay as long as you need He just ran his fingers through Devan's hair again, wanting to get him to relax. Almost like a father with his son. But Devan wasn't his son, no this boy was his friend instead. Simple as that really. He just worried about him a lot, like a father would his child. So of course maybe that could be how the relationship went now. All he do was smile. Why wasn't he sleeping? Well because he wanted to kiss and hold Devan while he slept for a moment. One couldn't blame him for doing that. His boyfriend wouldn't remember they were anything more then friends. Simple as that really. He only stayed on the bed and wondered if this would be alright. They'd be okay. Caelan was sure they'd be alright. Mostly. They needed to just do this the right way instead. At least. He didn't say that, if he was asked he'd just end up saying he was doing homework. Or something along those lines anyway. It sounded like what he'd do. Though people might not entirely enjoy it.
This time was way too early for him. Yet he'd deal with it. He only wanted to make sure he helped the person even if they didn't remember him. He was not going to dwell on those matters. Since it wasn't bound to do him any good by this point. Really. Not at all. If only he could make his boyfriend remember him. Those feelings were starting to sting, and he hated them. But he'd let it go for now. At least. That was all he could do. Though would it even get him anything. Probably not. With a small laugh he tried to relax. He needed to keep calm for Devan even if he couldn't be for himself basically. More or less this was just how it went. And how it'd always end up going. He still loved this person but he could mask his feelings.
He blinked and tilted his head. But didn't stop him. Caelan might be confused but he wasn't about to stop him. What good would that even do? At this point not very much, and he knew it. So he'd just learn to deal with this later. For now he wanted to do whatever might help Devan at least. "I just couldn't sleep, was trying to work on homework. And something else. It's not so bad. I'm alright now." He laughed a bit, and just rested down on the bed, he started to feel a bit better at least. This couldn't be so bad, he had found something good to do. Even if he wasn't entirely sure what to say about this.
He just nuzzled up to Devan and tried to hold him close. So he wouldn't get scared again, if he could even manage to do that. |

Just as he'd suspected, homework. Devan wished he could be as good at school as Caelan was, or rather, he wished he was much more like Caelan in general. He was good at school, far more skilled at hunting. Nothing ever seemed to bother his friend, and even though the both of them were a bit shaken up over their last incident, Cael seemed to be handling it better than he was -obviously, while his nightmares were a clear sign that he wasn't okay as he claimed. As Caelan rested across from him, Devan lifted his eyes to set on his blue hues. "You shouldn't overwork yourself ya know. You're supposed to be relaxing." Devan tried to always remind the boy whenever possible, but there was little he could do if Caelan woke up while he was asleep. Though he'd talked to the headmaster a few days ago, and had gotten him permission to stay in and rest -at least giving Cael a break from the usual prefect duties they shared, but here he was ignoring the warnings and doing school work instead. Cae may have worried about Devan, but he was just as worried about him as well. When Caelan scooted closer to him Devan did the same, welcoming his friends comforting arms with surprising acceptance. He needed this, it made him feel less alone though he wouldn't admit such things aloud. It was amusing though, as he pressed his forehead to Caelan's, that he was reminded of their childhood and the many sleepovers they'd had between their homes. They'd almost always shared the same bed. It was more comfortable that way, and Caelan had to keep an eye on him too because of his sleepwalking. Thinking of this brought a small smile to his features, an airy smirk escaping his lips as well. "It's like we're kids again." He said, closing his eyes and breathing in and out deeply. "We would always share a bed like this back then....I think it was cause you were scared of the dark, huh." Devan per usual couldn't resist his teasing. It made him feel less scared, to laugh and smile, and to even pick on Caelan a little. It brought him back to the real world rather than the one in his head. @ caelan || its so cute

Your forever is all that I need
Please stay as long as you need Caelan knew he should be relaxing, he knew he should be focusing on nothing. And not working his body that hard, he did get days off for a reason didn't he? So of course he needed to do this properly. At the very least. That was all he could do right now. But he still felt uncertain, he had a feeling he needed to be lost. Or not work. That was all. But of course Caelan's mind had always been against him. It worked faster then he did. And sometimes he didn't know how to handle that. Just what was he supposed to do. How was he supposed to handle this sort of thing? Either way it didn't seem to matter, it'd probably not end up making much sense either by this point anyway. So he'd have to figure this out, and hope he didn't screw something up royally. Devan had nightmares, he noticed that. Caelan had his own issues and stresses but he kept it to himself mostly. That was just how he did things.
"I know, but it's a habit." Not an easy one to break either, so of course he needed to figure that out. Or work on it in some other way. Not that it'd end up going so well for him either. Right now he had a feeling he might not be in the right state of mind either. So what was he going to do? If he wasn't careful he might just end up getting into trouble once again. Which he didn't want. That was pretty much how it went. With a small yawn he rested his head back on the pillow closer to Devan. What was he going to do? Keep in his bed again. Though it might not end up actually mattering really. Now that he was thinking about all of this stuff. He didn't know how to deal with his emotions, though he tried. It probably wasn't going to do him very good though. So for now he'd rather shrug it off, and figure out where to go.
This stung, this situation made him hurt. What was he going to do? What was he going to say? This confused him a lot. And yet he didn't know what to do. What could he say? At the moment it probably wasn't going to do him any good either. So he'd rather shrug it off. Pretending that he didn't care was harder then he thought. But what was he also going to say, or do? Maybe it wasn't such a good idea either. Devan loved him once but now those feelings were gone. So it stung but he just relaxed in his scent. Trying to keep his emotions as calm as he possibly could right now anyway. This was all he could do.
"Huh? So what, the dark is scary...or well was. But whatever. Keep teasing me and I'll make you sleep alone tomorrow." He huffed and rolled his eyes, Caelan was not being nice. No he was being mean. He would stay being mean, Caelan would let it go if Devan stopped teasing him. But still that wasn't likely to happen. Not now, and not ever anyway. He didn't like it when he was teased. But whatever if it made Devan feel better. |
