He didn't want to wake up, but as his mind was slowly coaxed into consciousness he had no choice but to stir. He turned over in his bed, groaning slightly as he then buried his face into his pillow. He could practically feel the heat from the sunset warm on his face. They'd forgotten to shut the curtain all the way, and the sunlight provided an uncomfortable tingle against his cheek. He shut his eyes tightly to prevent himself from wincing, but he hadn't even dared to try to open them yet given the time.
He already knew that Darien would be in his bed, despite the fact that there were two -one for each of them. They had both grown accustomed to sleeping with each other after so long of running away, and being on the road together. Garrett didn't mind it, but it did provide him with a bit less room to stretch out. He yawned sleepily, into his pillow, then scooted closer to Darien before resting an arm over the boy and nuzzling into his neck.
It was warm there, close to him, and it was far more pleasant than the sun behind him. "Darien." He muttered, his tone near a grumble and a whine mixed together. "You didn't shut the curtains." He was already insinuating that the boy get up, rather than making him have to do it. Even if it was him that had forgotten to close them, he preferred staying in bed. coded by electric of gangnam style

my heart is cold, you can't leave Lately he had found it hard to sleep alone, ever since they escaped he had been sleeping with Garrett. Cuddled up against him almost like some abused puppy. Which in a sense he was, but no one needed to know that. It wasn't exactly something he wanted to go out of his way to share with anyone. Since it wasn't likely to help improve matters at all by now. So really he needed to figure out how to shrug this off. His chest rose and fell slowly as he slept, he was improving though he still had moments where he broke down. It couldn't be that shocking. Darien moved a little bit then just nuzzled back against his friend. It was soft, warm and helped him feel better. Even if he probably shouldn't. Could they really even relax right now?
That thought had always been in the back of his mind. What if that guy came back. What if he somehow managed to find him. It was not something he enjoyed thinking about. Since it'd probably just end up causing them a lot of problems. Not that shocking once again, after all that man was violent. And he wanted what he wanted. That guy would never change his mind it's why they had to keep moving. They had to stay away from that person, so what if he turned them. They still needed to stay away. He didn't feel much of the sunlight. Garrett's form made it so easy to hide from honestly. So he didn't need to worry, he'd just figure something else out instead.Hiding under a blanket sounded nice as well at this point.
"You forgot to shut them." He huffed, and reached up to tug them closed a little bit. But he was not going to dig into this. Since it'd probably not end up improving matters. All he knew was that he still felt a bit tired, his energy would not go back up anytime soon. All he wanted to do was keep on sleeping. If he was even allowed to do that, Darien had been woken up by Garrett's annoying whining. All he wanted him to do was shut up and not talk again That couldn't be too much to ask now could it?
But with Garrett who knew. MADE BY ★MEULK OF GS

He wasn't affected at all by Darien's little huff, however he did dislike the fact that the boy had to move just to shut the stupid curtains. He frowned, his eyes still closed, and let go of Darien so he could wrap his arms around his pillow instead. Now that his mind was more aware than it had been a moment ago, he wondered what time it was, how long they'd been asleep, and when their first classes would start. Garrett admittedly didn't pay much attention to the headmaster after he mentioned their rooms, and the cafeteria full of food that was going to be provided to them for free since they were technically 'orphans'.
This was the luxury compared to what they had been living before and it almost seemed serial. Garrett had never had a full morning or nights sleep since they'd been on the run. Honestly if felt strange to be sleeping in a bed that wasn't as hard as bricks too. However, now that it was so comfortable, he ironically couldn't 'get comfortable'. It was all too new. This would take a lot of getting used to.
He turned over to face away from Darien for a moment so he could rub his eyes. The hurt like hell when he tried to open them but at least the room was far more darker with the curtain's swept over the windows. Garrett was curious what the time was. His internal clock was telling him to wake up, and he was curious why. When they'd be traveling he made it a habit of listening to his instincts but as he glanced over at the alarm clock on their side table, Garrett realized then...There was no need for him to feel so worried, and scared anymore.
4:15pm
Garrett sighed, and burred his face back into his pillow. It was still mid day. They had a long time until their classes, but he didn't think the headmaster would be too upset if they skipped the first couple of days until hey were 'settled in'. They had been moving nonstop before they'd arrived here after all and it did feel strange to not be getting up to leave right about now. "I'm hungry." He complained, obviously not just speaking to himself. He wasn't implying anything by stating this fact, but it would have been nice if they had snacks lying around. Their situation had drastically changed. They couldn't just leech off of homeless people when they were 'hungry' anymore. coded by electric of gangnam style

my heart is cold, you can't leave Why couldn't his darn friend do it himself? Jeez he acted like he was some needy baby who couldn't do shit for himself. Darien might be just hungry and tired, so he was acting up. But really he'd rather keep that to himself. No need to get people to pay attention to what he was saying, or what he was thinking right now. Honestly. This might not be his strong point but no he'd just figure it out later instead. He just flopped back onto the bed and moved his way into Garrett's arms again. He didn't want that pillow taking his place. Garrett was his cuddle, not anyone else's. So he wouldn't share to save anyone, simple as that. The boy next to him was all he had. And it had taken awhile for him to stop seeing his mom's dead body every single time he closed his eyes. So really what was he supposed to do. This almost didn't make sense to him. How could someone do that? How could someone be so mean? Darien felt his tummy grumble again as he glanced back to his friend. He knew he was so tired still, but would Garrett get them food? Something that wasn't those nasty things they wanted to force at the kids.
He didn't like it, he hated a lot about this school honestly. But he wasn't about to complain. What good would it even do? For him, or for Garrett. Really he was in his own little world. Completely lost by it to as well, but no one needed to know any of that. Darien had his reasons for keeping things to himself. His mind would not be changed anytime soon basically. So that was all, and he'd rather shrug it off. He tried to close his eyes again but he only grumbled. He couldn't sleep, trying to sleep was just not easy to do. Not at all. But what was he supposed to do. How could he figure this stuff out. He missed his old life minus the drama, minus the bad things those men did to him when momma was sleeping. But, this was worse.
His old life and Garrett's had been changed, in a very forceful way. And he hated it. He would rather not dig back into that. Since it was not likely to work out in the way he wished it would. Darien only closed his eyes he seemed to be set on going back to bed. After all he was so tired. He didn't want to get up right now. "What can we eat...? I don't want any of that gross stuff." He wondered what they'd be able to eat, it would make him feel better. Well both of them, but he wasn't about to let his mind get the better of him. He'd manage to deal with it later. But at the same time he was also quite tired honestly.
Yet for a moment he was a bit uncertain. What was he going to do?How could he figure this out, it made him feel a bit strange. Honestly he didn't know what to say. How could he figure it out. Darien wanted to know what they'd eat. What would Garrett find for them? Since it wasn't like Darien was really good at self control. He didn't know how to have any self control when it came to feeding. What would he be able to say? He didn't know what to say, or how to figure it out. "Let's eat...okay. I wanna eat." He just nuzzled Garrett and tried not to nibble on the other boy. After all nibbling would lead to biting. And biting him would not end up helping, they'd just end up getting angry at each other. Gross stuff? Garrett didn't know what Darien was talking about, but he had seemingly forgotten the fact that the school had issued them both a small container of blood tablets. Fake blood, blood substitutes, it did sound fairly disgusting. Until now all they'd ever consumed was real, fresh blood. Garrett never took another persons life again, but he was so ignorant when it came to what they were, the he felt they didn't have a choice but to feed. He refused to let them slip into the same state they'd once been in, while being chained to the floor of that man's basement. Never again.
"What are you talking about?" He muttered in reply, feeling Darien's form forcing his way under his arms again. He was practically shoving his pillow away, and though it faintly annoyed Garrett he didn't protest as the boy wiggled under his arms again. He was used to Darien's persistence anyway. Though, at any rate, he had no idea what they were going to eat otherwise. Human food always helped, at least not while they were starving, and Garrett supposed he could go for some breakfast or a snack.
A snack.
His mind was already ahead of Darien's when it came to the urge to want to take a bite out of his friend. He smirked at the thought and rolled his tongue over his fangs that had extended suddenly and without his permission. "I know what I want." He replied somewhat lazily still, as he pulled Darien closer. He parted his lips and ran his tongue along the boy's exposed neck, teasing him intentionally. He wouldn't get mad if it was just a little bite would he? Garrett was already testing his boundaries.

my heart is cold, you can't leave He only wanted blood, they are so used to blood. That was all. But at the same time Darien just wanted to feed then try to get some sleep maybe. What was he supposed to do about any of this? It made him feel really awkward. Yet he'd rather not think about it. He just wondered what Garrett would let them eat. Since Garrett was the one who always decided what they got to eat. More or less. And he couldn't do much else. Simple honestly. Yet what was he supposed to do? How could Darien handle it. He wanted to run off for some reason or another. But like it'd even end up mattering. Now he felt a bit strange, like things might not go as planned. He didn't want to deal with the substitutes either. Since it wasn't likely to matter either by this point. He needed to feed. Mostly. This was not going to help. It'd probably just end up getting him really awkward.
He didn't want to eat, not those blood tablets. It honestly sounded gross. What was he supposed to do? At this moment it'd probably not end up changing matters. Seriously he'd rather just shake this off in some other way. Since he'd rather not end up talking about it. Honestly though being here he felt safe. But for a moment Darien didn't know what to say. All he was thinking about was food. Eating sounded really nice, even though before he noticed that blood was really gross. He was so used to drinking blood, it had become a habit for him now, and he didn't plan to change his mind either. Simple as that. For a moment he'd rather figure some other way to relax. If it worked at all. Which yet sometimes it barely did work out the way he wished. Now he still had to wonder what Garrett was going to give them.
Darien just groaned, what was he going to do? Oh right maybe if he helped Garrett then he'd get what he wanted. A cute little puppy dog or something, it sounded pretty good. Basically. But at that moment he'd rather end up ignoring it. If that worked. But so far he was just thinking it wasn't working. He moaned low in his throat, and blushed. Garrett was making him feel so weird. And it wasn't like he knew what to do. Or where to actually go to this, since it was already a bit foreign for him. "W-what? I mean if you want it...But will that even do anything." He only blinked a bit and just blushed at him. This made him feel honestly awkward. Yet he didn't know what to do, or how to handle this apparently.
He wasn't sure what to do. He didn't want to refuse him obviously but what else would he do? It didn't seem to matter very much anyway. He would let him do what he wanted. MADE BY ★MEULK OF GS

Darien's words surprised him, and he couldn't help himself but to pull away just so he could see the look on the boy's face. His cheeks were red, and it was so blatantly obvious that he was blushing. Garrett cracked a smile, and chuckled at his friends expression before finding it in himself to speak. "Why are you blushing?" Even as he asked this the answer seemed fairly obvious as well. However Garrett was simply pleased with himself that he could get Darien to blush even though he hadn't even been trying.
At any rate he didn't want to scare the boy, so he turned onto his back and placed his hand over his face as he expelled another yawn. "I was just messing around. I wouldn't feed from you unless you thought it was okay." They were traumatized it was already when it came to their vampiric nature. Garrett didn't want to make matters worse. "Are you really hungry though? I doubt anyone else is awake right now. In the Night Class at least. We'll probably get in trouble if we step outside."
Garrett wasn't used to these rules, but he didn't plan on breaking them. He wanted nothing more but to stay here, and he would do everything in his power to secure their position here. Even if that did mean they'd have to consume fake blood tablets and actually study school books like they were serious about their education. coded by electric of gangnam style

my heart is cold, you can't leave He didn't honestly care what he did, really it didn't seem bad. It just seemed to be one of those really random situations. He'd almost rather not deal with it. If there was even a way to avoid it. So far he did not think so. The boy was wondering if he'd actually get bitten. What was Garrett going to do? Would he end up actually biting him. Since that did sound very good to him, it would be alright. Or so he thought. He could only manage to smirk, and stick his tongue out at his friend. "Really? Come on! I mean, I'm not sure! Biting is kinda weird...biting me like that?" He was rambling on and blushing a bit. Really his mind was running off in it's own way. And he had no idea how to handle it. Much less what to do either. So what was he going to say? Would Garrett keep this up or just pull away? Which he did shortly after that thought came into his head.
"I'm not blushing! Seriously just shut up." He grumbled then stuck his tongue out. Honestly this wasn't such a bother for him though it did annoy him a little bit. At least for right now. What could he end up saying? He just waited for his friend to speak up again, rather then teasing him. So what if he blushed. It didn't matter, it never really should have. But of course it'd probably not help. He would not be able to explain his feelings or anything. It made him feel a bit strange. This whole thing was not good for him. But then again had it ever been. Right now he couldn't even be sure nor did he want to be.
He'd rather end up letting that die for now. "Yea I'm hungry let's go eat! please...my tummy is growling again...what can we eat?" He hoped they'd at least get some free time. Cause honestly he didn't need to think about any of those negative things. It wasn't likely that it'd do any good. However he couldn't help being curious, he wanted to know what they'd eat. It wasn't like he went out of his way to eat these days. He didn't like the idea of fake blood and he would keep on fighting about it at this point. What was he going to do? For a moment he'd rather just shake it off.
He wanted to get out of here and find something fun to do. MADE BY ★MEULK OF GS

Another laugh escaped him as he heard Darien's reply. He glanced over at the boy again, a lopsided smile in his features as he observed his blush once more. "You are too blushing. Don't lie." He remarked, and reached over to pinch Darien's nose just for a moment. It had been months since he'd acted this carefree, relaxed, but there was something about this place, the headmaster, that put him at ease.
"I think there's a small kitchen downstairs." He paused, considering it for a moment before he sighed yet again. "Ugh..but I really don't want to wake anybody up." Not only that, but Garrett couldn't cook all that well, and didn't want to make too much noise just to try. The last thing he needed was to alienate them from the rest of their peers in the Night Class. Though the more he thought about it...Did the Night Class even have food stashed away? Garrett hadn't checked when they'd got here the other night. He'd been far too exhausted, and uneasy to walk around.
"Hey, how about you take a bite out of me huh? I'm sure I taste damn good, as always." Garrett glanced over at Darien and held out his wrist towards the boy, practically shoving his marked limb into the boy's mouth. He was just teasing of course, but if Darien was really hungry he wouldn't mind if he took a little bite. The atmosphere was playful, and he was in a good mood anyway. coded by electric of gangnam style

my heart is cold, you can't leave Honestly he wasn't annoyed, he just wanted to eat. Darien didn't like being told he couldn't eat so if his friend said he couldn't then he would get mad. Well not so mad, just not entirely happy. With a small smirk he wondered what Garrett would find them. He knew his friend could be a very good cook. Mostly. He would rather not end up digging a hole since they just got here. It never sounded like a good idea in his mind. So what if he was blushing. He didn't even see why any of that mattered. Basically. Though he'd rather just shrug it off, it might not end up helping or get him anywhere either. Pretty much. So with a small sigh he just stuck his tongue out at Garrett. "I am not! just shut up and let's go eat." He grumbled he was just playing around. This was how they did things. They always played these games. It sounded way too much fun to him.
Even if he was a monster now he still wanted to be somewhat normal. Play with Garrett or something. Right? this was probably not going to help him in the long run either. So for now he had to figure out how to obey the rules even if he knew he didn't want. Obeying the rules sounded so boring, so annoying even. But whatever. He'd just listen. He promised Garrett he'd at least try to be good for the most part. Something here made them relax, and Darien wasn't so used to that. So it still made him feel really weird. He'd rather not end up getting dragged into that. Since it'd probably end up hurting. Honestly his body was not going to help this very well. He had to wonder what he was going to say. Darien just tried to cling to his friend's arm for a moment. Still nervous about wandering around of course, it wasn't like this would make it any better for him.
"Small kitchen? Well we could just...go out. Couldn't we? I mean if there's nothing in the kitchen." He mumbled, Darien didn't want to deal with them. Darien huffed and looked at him with the pouting face. He was holding onto the wrist though, and he did bring it up to his mouth. Just nibbling on the flesh but he had stopped himself and bounced out of the door of the room. He didn't want to feed from Garrett, it was weird. He'd let Garrett feed from him but he'd never do that to Garrett. It seemed way too wrong even for him. MADE BY ★MEULK OF GS

Garrett wasn't sure how to answer Darien's question, but after watching the boy nearly bite into his wrist he was left even more speechless. It didn't hurt, at least not nearly as much as the pain he had once been so accustomed to, and by Darien it was a little less than a pinch. However, seeing Dar try in general surprised him. Garrett didn't actually think the boy would try, but suppose he was just teasing back. That was made obvious a moment later when he jumped up out of bed and headed towards the door.
Garrett, being so surprised, didn't even react to Darien getting up and leaving until he shook his head into awareness and scrambled out of bed after him. "Hey, wait!" He called out, picking up his pace as he made it to the door and ran after the boy. He didn't want Darien wandering around this place alone. It was safe to say that Garrett was extremely protective, but even more so after everything they'd went through. He had always kept this kid in his sight, and it made him anxious and erratic when Darien wasn't around. Though over the passed year they had always been at each others hip and for a good reason.
Garrett felt much safer at this school, but that didn't mean that he didn't worry about the other vampires here. They had met so few after all, and he was used to so many in one place like this. Surely not all of them were friendly. Garrett reached out to grab Darien's arm, and tugged him back just enough to force him to meet his pace. "Don't do that. We can go together." coded by electric of gangnam style

my heart is cold, you can't leave What was he going to do? This might not be so good but at the same time Darien couldn't ignore it. Feeling starving was a bit out of place anyway, he didn't think he'd ever get starving like this. Basically. He was seriously hungry though. Being forced into this even further was not going to help. Apparently. So he'd rather shrug it off, if that was even going to help. He was just not in the right state of mind it seemed. He was just a tad bit confused. He almost wondered what would come of this. Would it even end up helping?Perhaps not. Yet at the same time he still felt as if he was just not handling this the right way. Not as he at least should have. Basically this was already one of those foreign moments for him. Even more so then the day he'd been turned. Since those fangs had sunk into his neck and left marks that would never fade. He always assumed they'd just stay that way. Forever.
And who knew. He was probably right. At this moment he'd rather just shrug it off. Dealing with it in another way sounded like such a good idea for him. He didn't wish to bring things back up again. He wanted to eat for awhile though. It sounded really good. Just allow himself to pig out. Or something along those sort of natures anyway. It sounded oddly pleasing. He just bounced out of the room. He didn't bother to worry about these things. He would keep on walking, that is till he felt Garrett touch his arm. He was not sure why, but he felt that Garrett was a bit worried apparently. He needed to figure it out. Or focus on it in some other possible way. "Come on man we'll be fine. Jeez you worry over nothing." He said with a smirk, but he didn't pull away from him.
Why would he? Right now he was a bit strange, and he almost didn't know what to say. If this made him feel awkward then so be it. He'd not care. For a moment he'd rather focus on something else. Something perfect, and that was what he wanted. The idea of food now made his stomach growl again. But that was already so weird and he didn't know how to handle it. "Okay okay let's go together. But I'm like starving so hurry up!" This wasn't so bad, and he almost didn't care. He wanted to just manage to get something to eat, and have his stomach relax. It would be so good for him, since lately blood made his stomach twist.
And he hated it. MADE BY ★MEULK OF GS

Garrett let go of Darien, but the slight furrow in his brow didn't disappear. He had his reasons to worry, surely Darien knew that, but it annoyed him for reasons he couldn't pin point. Perhaps it was the fact that he had been forced to be so cautious all this time, all because of that man and what he'd done to them. Garrett wished a hundred times over that they weren't as they were, but there was nothing they could do about it now.
"Fine." He muttered sullenly in reply, and kept his pace just slightly behind Darien's, another gesture that had become a force of habit. Garrett looked from side to side as they walked down the long hall of doors to get to the lobby area of the dorms, tucking his hands into the pockets of his sweats. The interior in this place was nice, more than just nice, and definitely not something they were used to. He almost didn't want to touch anything for fear that he didn't have the authority to.
Garrett turned and followed Dar down the steps to the first floor, his eyes lifting to the large windows at either side of the double doors in the front entrance. "Do you think they always cover the windows during the day?" He inquired absently, partially not even realizing that he was speaking aloud. coded by electric of gangnam style

my heart is cold, you can't leave He just wanted to pretend that didn't happen, then run off to get food. It sounded pretty good right now. But what could he say? What could he honestly do. It almost seemed as if Darien was dwelling too much on this stuff. It'd probably not end up helping. Though he'd rather just eat. If he thought about his issues too much he'd not handle it very well. Honestly being sick was not something he wanted. Nope it just seemed to be way too wrong. Something he'd rather avoid if there was any possible way to even do that by now. Darien took a step back and grabbed onto Garrett's arm. Just tugging him along. Completely ignoring that attitude he had. Why did any of that even matter? Right now it might already be strange but not like he was even attempting to complain. He had nothing to complain about. Even if he hated what they'd become he still had Garrett.
That was all that mattered. It should have been important even more so. But he'd rather not get dragged into those bad things. At least not right now. Honestly just what was he going to say. What could he end up doing without making a mess, or causing some other problems. For now he only dragged his friend further and further. Moving straight to the kitchen. It wouldn't be so bad. He thought it'd be alright. Mostly. "Well I mean...probably. After all it's not like anyone here would actually like the light. It's a little strange but I still like it. It makes me feel comfortable...and it doesn't burn either." He just laughed a bit, this wasn't going to be so bad. Or so he thought anyway. but at the same moment he'd rather not dig those bad things up. This was just sharing a simple conversation more or less.
A conversation couldn't hurt. Even if he was a bit out of it on his own. Basically more or less his bad habits might be getting the better of him. But he'd rather not bring those things up. Since it was not likely to do him any good. All he was thinking about right now was food. MADE BY ★MEULK OF GS

Garrett didn't protest when Darien took hold of his arm, though it did tempt him to walk slower. So he did, by just a fraction. He didn't see what the hurry was anyway. Garrett wasn't at all interested in running around in a place full of vampires, whether he was one or not. He didn't think Darien was so hungry, but it did surprise him to see the boy so excited.
Perhaps it was mean of him to even be taken aback that the boy was even laughing, but Garrett had the brains enough to know that he shouldn't question it now. If Darien was happy, then so was he. He cleared his throat and looked away from Dar and over at the lobby after hearing his laugh. "Yea, sure. I guess I forgot." It was a lie, but as previously considered he didn't want to inquire upon why his best friend was smiling.
Garrett couldn't agree with Darien's statement however. The sun made him uncomfortable, and though it didn't burn his skin -unless he laid out in it for an entire day straight- he still disliked it very much so. Daylight reminded him that he wasn't normal anymore, and that he'd been forced to leave his family behind, that killing himself wouldn't be nearly as easy, and that Darien of all people was suffering this fate with him. Therefore Garrett preferred the dark.
"Still, we shouldn't go out during the day anymore. Now that we don't have to...Let's just play by the rules." He said as they met with the first floor and began to walk towards the back of the lobby where a small kitchen was located behind another set of white double doors. It was like a fancy hotel, or at least this was the only thing Garrett could equate it to. He slipped his arm out of Darien's and reached out to open the door before him. He could be a gentlemen on occasion, and now that he was in a much better mood it encouraged his good behavior.
Garrett held the door out for Dar, and gestured for him to enter first before he followed after him. There were several rows of cabinets for him to explore, as well as a large metallic fridge. Garrett would leave the scavenging to Darien this time. After all he didn't think there'd be much to find anyway. coded by electric of gangnam style
