A school full of vampires. It was like the setting of a cheesy horror movie, or rather, an obnoxious chick flick with stereotypically annoying characters. Garrett scoffed, at the thought that he could ever be included into that category. He didn't want to befriend the humans at this school. He didn't take issue with them of course, but he simply didn't trust himself even with his fellow peers. Besides, the less people that got involved with them the less blood shed in the long run, if that man ever caught up to them that is.
On more sip, just one more. He encouraged himself to continue and attempt to down this whole bottle, knowing that if he tried maybe it would curb his harsher cravings for quite some time, but he already felt sick from what he'd already consumed. He hadn't signed up for this. The school, fine. Having to take high school classes all over again, fine, but being forced to take a blood substitute for the sake of the headmaster's wishes. He didn't know that man, and he still didn't fully trust him. Though deep down Garrett didn't want either of them to have to hurt people to save themselves. Who would have thought that becoming a monster would actually make him more considerate than he was when he was a human.
He listened to Darien's voice. It was comforting, but he could sense the somewhat anxious tone in his words. Garrett glanced over at him, slight concern in his eyes as they met with Dar's. He didn't want to admit that he'd get sick from something so trivial, but even he was unsure. They were vampires for godsake, surely he'd be fine -however this was only a hope that he had no evidence for. He didn't feel good even now, and that wasn't a positive sign. However, when the boy's blood was offered, Garrett had no idea how to respond.
Was Darien testing him to see if he'd take it? Garrett did look a bit confused. If this was some sort of test, he didn't want to fail. In addition he didn't want to hurt Darien either. The scent of his blood would linger in the room, and he didn't want the other night class to pick up on it -even if they were all asleep. Still, when Darien offered something so personal, Garrett couldn't help but stir. His chest was twisting from the conflicting emotions within him, but he lowered his eyes, feeling as though he had no permission to even look at his friend after having the thoughts that he had.
"I can't ..Darien I don't want to hurt you. Besides, I'll be fine." The blood substitutes might not allow him to heal as quickly as he once could, but this was far better than nothing at all and he knew it. coded by electric of gangnam style

my heart is cold, you can't leave He felt really bad right now, and he hated all of it. But what was he supposed to say. Honestly he just worried that Garrett might not get fed properly. Like he might continue to get hurt. Or worse. Which that was not something he wanted to deal with. Honestly how was he supposed to handle this? He didn't know what to do. Darien couldn't force Garrett into things and even when he tried that boy didn't listen to him. Stubborn little ass that he could be. But it didn't change his mind, he would not end up shoving him off. Nope, he wanted to keep an eye on Garrett. For as long as he possibly could right now. He would be alright, alive was good. Even if it was as this vampire thing. He didn't know what to say. So for a small sigh he just tried to relax. He wasn't sure what to do anyway. Right? So for this moment he didn't know what to say. At this moment he was confused, he almost felt that he was stuck.
He looked at Garrett, waiting. Hoping he'd listen to him for some reason or another. This was just way too fun for him. And he'd rather just manage to shrug it off. He looked at his friend and rubbed his neck. Right now he had no idea why it suddenly hurt but yes it did. Why would he deal with this? Really. Just why? For a moment he'd rather shrug it off completely. Before he did something stupid. He didn't want to make his friend mad at him right now. It just didn't sound like a good idea in general at this moment. They were in a safe place, or so he thought. He'd rather not end up thinking about anything else. If it went bad then he'd get into so much trouble. Well of course he'd take the fall for Garrett. When didn't he take the fall for that cute boy. He would do it any time. They were best friends.
And of course that boy had stayed with him for so long. He didn't want to think about anything else. Losing him just wasn't going to happen right now. Not at all. "Garrett please...it's fine. It'll be alright...Really. It'll be just fine, you know. I mean just take a little bit? Please?" He asked as he glanced at him. He really did hope that Garrett was going to listen to him. Right now he didn't need to dig into this. It might just end up messing things up for him, yet he'd rather not deal with it. More or less right now. "You can't hurt me, you had enough of the fake crap. So here take some." He said as he just sighed a bit, he would cut it himself if Garrett didn't take a bite. Simple as that honestly. And he'd rather not get dragged into this stuff.
He waited, he wanted to let Garrett bite him but he was taking forever it seemed. MADE BY ★MEULK OF GS

It was safe to say that Garrett was surprised. He didn't expect Darien to offer something like this, not after all that had happened. If anything he feared that his best friend was already becoming scared of him, even if he didn't act like it. He was disappointed in himself. He should be better than this, but he was being tempted by fresh blood. Whether it was from a fellow vampire or otherwise, it would pale in comparison to this modified garbage.
Garrett stared at Darien for a long while, looking into his eyes and down at the boys wrist. If he rejected him again, he wondered if it would seem rude. It wasn't normal for Darien to offer something like this after all and...He had no idea what was going through that boy's mind right now.
Slowly he leaned off of the kitchen sink. He didn't want to scare Darien, or make him believe that he would do anything against his will. He was apprehensive and reluctant in his movements, but as he set the bottle down on the counter it was obvious what his answer was going to be. Carefully he reached out to take the boy's wrist in his hand, his eyes flitting up to meet Darien's. "Don't be too sure." He said, before he brought the flesh to his lips and opened his mouth wide.
His fangs extended, his eyes flashing a brilliant red -a sign that he wanted this more than he let on. Garrett knew that he could hurt Darien, but he would do everything in his power not to. Therefore, he was far more gentle with him than he'd been with any human they'd fed on. His fangs pierced into the boy's flesh, but he did so slowly so as not to elicit unnecessary displeasure. He'd gauge Dar's responses before digging them in further, but once the taste of real blood hit his tongue he covered his mouth over the flesh and suckled harder. coded by electric of gangnam style

my heart is cold, you can't leave He wanted to feed his friend, and make sure he was alright. Could anyone blame him there? He really did value Garrett a lot, and he hated the idea of him getting hurt. Or being sick from those blood tablets. Basically. But at this moment he thought his brain was starting to swim suddenly. The idea of letting someone feed from him, or stick with the blood tablets. But of course he also felt a bit uncertain right now. Right now he'd rather not dig into it. Which was a bit annoying. For a moment he'd rather shrug it off. Darien wanted to get his friend to feed already. So he wouldn't feel horrible, honestly this was annoying him. Basically. He wanted to shove it in his throat. And just make him eat. But that sounded really rude, or painful maybe? Apparently. The blood needed to be taken. Or Darien would attract the other vampires as well. Which wasn't needed right now.
He knew his friend was hungry. And he wasn't going to tell him no. How rude would that be? if he had told him now he'd be no better then other people. So for right now he'd rather just shrug it off. Though no it was not likely to help either. So what was he supposed to do. So for the moment he'd rather just let him feed. He waited to feel the fangs dig into his skin. It would be nice to him, or so he thought at least. So with a small laugh he just waited. "Come on dude you are hungry. And we both know it." He would not give anyone what he thought. And yet right now it probably didn't matter. He just wanted to get Garrett fed already. And when the fangs finally sunk into his arm he was okay. This didn't bother him. It actually almost felt good?
He couldn't help trying not to moan. His body was feeling so weird. And he was not complaining. This made him feel so good. And he hated it. Why did he have to feel that tingly sensation. "Garrett, are you feeling better?" He just said as he moved to run his fingers through the boy's hair. Darien just shivered, he was not sure how to take this. It made him feel really jumpy and weird right now. But he almost didn't mind someone touching him. After all this was weird enough. And he didn't exactly know what to do.
He felt like a mother feeding her child, and it was weird. But the blood didn't bother him too much. He'd lost more before after all. MADE BY ★MEULK OF GS

He could feel Darien's pulse as the blood flowed into his mouth. It was warm, and enticing, regardless of the fact that it wasn't coming from a human -his true food source. This was still far more than what the blood tablets could provide. Though despite Darien's laughter it still worried Garrett that he was doing this person harm. While he drank his blood he realized something above all else however, Darien cared about him a lot...a lot more than he'd imagined.
He could practically feel Darien's worry for him and it was so...sentimental. It wasn't something that Garrett would expect from his best friend, however he couldn't deny that they didn't usually talk about 'feelings' very often -especially not recently. It was no wonder he never realized. Though, it only made Garrett feel even worse.
The fingers that ran through his hair made him exhale as he swallowed down more of Darien's blood. IT was a gesture of his own that gave the boy permission to tough him however he pleased. Garrett would never, ever, let anyone else touch his hair anyway. He didn't have words to communicate with, as he continued to drink the boy's blood. He didn't want to take too much, and he was counting the seconds just to make sure that he wouldn't, but still, he felt as though he were getting lost in the emotions and the taste of his best friend.
He stood up just a little bit straighter, still holding the boy's wrist to his mouth. If he could speak he would have said that he felt better, much much better. Despite the sappy emotions, the taste of real blood was infinitely more satisfying. Darien was so caring, considerate. Garrett felt like such a pathetic being in comparison.
After another long moment, about a minute or so, Garrett stopped and slowly let go of Dar's wrist. He ran his long along his flesh, just to make sure none would spill to the floor. He didn't want them leaving any real trace of what they'd done here. The smell would be too obvious already. He shut his eyes when he was done, and he'd felt the puncture's in Darien's wrist heal. He breathed over his skin, his nose grazing against it as he sighed shallowly.
"I'm so sorry that I never realized how much you worry about me..I feel better now. Thanks." The latter of his dialogue was muttered, as he was a bit embarrassed to confess what he had. He didn't even want to let go of the boy's wrist, but he felt the obligation to after what he'd done. Reluctantly his fingers released him as his eyes slowly opened. He glanced down at his friend, his auburn hues slowly turning from bright red to their normal color. He could still taste Darien's blood in his mouth, but his fangs had subsided.

my heart is cold, you can't leave Darien was just there, with his hand covering his mouth. He didn't let it stay there for long. The hand would fall as soon as he got his composure back for a moment. Which was just fine with him. At least his friend was feeding now, while he could handle the blood tablets as gross as they were. It seemed Garrett couldn't, and he just wanted to help him. If this was even possible. So far it didn't seem to be. This wasn't that bad, it felt okay to him. His body was starting to relax a little bit. And that was just it. He'd rather not end up thinking about it. So for a moment he'd rather shrug it off. Yet it was probably not going to end up helping. Did his friend feel alright now? He had to hope so, since he didn't want to let him get hurt worse. "Garrett? Do you feel better?" He asked again, though he knew it'd probably take a bit longer to get a response.
The boy felt so weird, and he almost didn't know what to do. It confused him a little bit. But what was he supposed to do. Darien didn't mind that the fangs pulled out of his wrist. He would be alright, he didn't need to think about the negatives now. He got his friend fed, and he was feeling better too. A bit less depressed basically. This was just how awkward it might end up being. So what was he going to do? Right now it'd probably not get much easier. He didn't know what his friend had figured out. Blood drinking was still new to him, and trying to understand what he learned from it was still confusing. It almost didn't work most of the time. And he knew this already, he'd honestly rather forget about it. That whole situation was not something he wanted to actually dig right back up.
Darien just kept running his fingers through the boy's hair. He liked to know he'd be able to feel comfortable. This was not going to end up improving matters. He'd rather just shrug it off if this was even possible. And yet so far probably not. He was not sure what to do. He felt that he might be stuck in a wrong situation. But trying to dwell on it too much wasn't going to improve matters. Shouldn't he have already known that. For the moment he did, but later on probably not. He'd rather not get dragged into it. At least not for right now. "Good it worries me when you do things like this. But um...Garrett, you don't need to feel bad. You need to just take care of yourself." He would always worry about his friend basically. That would never change.
"Huh?" Darien tilted his head confused. He didn't get why he was acting that way. Honestly it was really strange and he didn't know what to say. But it wasn't like he'd care about it too much. He was just waiting to understand why Garrett said that. MADE BY ★MEULK OF GS

it was bizarre, that he felt suddenly the urge to kiss Darien on the lips. Staring at him didn't help. He always had some sort of feelings for the guy that went beyond their friendship, but after all that had happened it would have been an inappropriate thing to bring up. So, Garrett kept it to himself. He turned his cheek away, and frowned lightly to himself, wishing away his own selfish thoughts. This too was why he felt like a complete ass hole.
"Nevermind. I'll try to take care of myself, promise." It was the only thing he could say despite the many other thoughts that buzzed around in his brain. He didn't want to say the wrong thing and make Darien upset, or more worried than he already was. Garrett turned from him and rubbed the back of his neck anxiously. He didn't want to look up and see the confused, and or worried expression in his friends face.
"I'm going back to bed. You can come if you want..or whatever." He said quietly, but he knew that Darien would hear him. He was acting distant, and perhaps even annoyed, but he wasn't at all. He simply didn't know how to interact with the guy when he felt like this. Drinking his blood really had been a bad idea. Now he really understood just how badly Dar worried about him..it made his feelings towards the boy grow stronger and while they weren't able to talk about them...Garrett took a step forward, headed back towards the door that opened to the lobby and the stairs.
"Don't take too long." He was giving Darien free reign to do as he pleased, but in truth there was no way he'd be able to sleep without him around. coded by electric of gangnam style

my heart is cold, you can't leave He felt confused, like he barely knew what might be waiting for him. But maybe it wasn't so bad, or maybe it was. Either way Darien wanted to know, he wanted to know what Garrett was thinking. He didn't entirely get the whole liking someone else thing. Darien had never been taught about it. He just always did things on his own. For now anyway. But that was all, he'd rather not end up digging up old memories. They would be torture right now and he knew it. Darien could only find himself glancing at this person. Trying to get a read on them was easier said then done really. What confused him more was how Garrett turned his cheek. What was the point of that? Really. What point did it have? He wasn't entirely sure what to say about that either. Not right now anyway.
"Y-you better." He was still not certain about this, it felt weird to him. In so many ways at that. What was he supposed to do at this point. Honestly he'd rather not care but Darien was picking up on things. He hadn't been friends with Garrett to just ignore this stuff. No he'd pick up on it, and ask. Well not right now but maybe later. Right now he felt this situation was just a bad one, and would only get worse if he asked. He still wanted to shake him out of it. If he even could right now. Honestly he felt that he was in over his head. Darien never understood the emotions of other people. Though he did try to, it just failed a lot more then he liked to admit. So of course Garrett would never know anything about that. It was for sure in his mind.
He didn't understand but he almost felt that Garrett was leaving him. It made him feel really depressed but he wouldn't stop him. What good would that do anyway? Right? "Wait...Garrett...walk with me? We can go back to bed together?" He asked as he just stood there, his hand was clinging to Garrett's arm. Almost like he didn't want to be left here alone. He was such a scared boy and that was already obvious right now. "Please wait for me." He said though his steps were a bit unsteady. He didn't need to get angry. No he just wanted to keep his friend close or he'd end up losing him. Basically.
He didn't want to be without Garrett right now. He felt dizzy and tired after all, so if he fell he wanted to be caught by Garrett. MADE BY ★MEULK OF GS

It didn't bother him to feel Darien's hand on his arm, but he was mildly surprised. He stiffened slightly but the anxious feeling went away as he continued to walk forward. He slowed his pace intentionally so Darien could catch up, seeing as how he wouldn't shake the boy off no matter how stubborn or distant he was acting. He didn't speak this time as they walked up the stairs together, though Garrett was actively having a conversation in his own mind.
He debated the pros and cons of liking Darien for more than just a friend, though every time he had this conflict with himself it never ended well. It only proved to make him depressed, and mentally exhausted, and it showed as he appeared to show great effort in just trying to make it up the stairs. Perhaps sleep would allow him to clear his head. He could only hope. Classes for them would start soon, likely tomorrow even. Garrett didn't want to be worrying about this stuff when he knew he'd already be on edge just by having Darien away from him.
After he nudged open their door he walked over to the bed and slumped down onto the mattress. The furniture in this place was expensive, and comfortable as hell. He could fall asleep in a few seconds if he let himself, but he waited for Darien to follow first. He could see through the cracks in the curtains that the sun was still up. They'd have a few hours until dusk, and then the night class would be awake. Garrett hoped that the scent of Darien's blood would vanish by then, but he feared that it wouldn't.
"Let's sleep in tonight. I'm really tired." He said slowly, closing his eyes even while he spoke. He waited to feel Darien curl up against him as he always did, it would be comforting despite his own internal conflict. coded by electric of gangnam style

my heart is cold, you can't leave He just wanted to keep him close, was that so much to ask? He honestly didn't think so but of course Darien knew Garrett had different opinions on that. But not like he was going to bring them up. Not right now. He wished his friend would tell him things sometimes, but he knew it was not likely to happen. So what was he supposed to say here? He didn't even know honestly it just confused him. It just hurt his head trying to think so hard. Maybe he needed to somehow take a step back instead. That'd probably make him feel better? Wouldn't it. The not talking was awkward. But he'd learn to put up with it. As he always did more or less. At this point it wasn't supposed to really matter now was it? Darien had his own plans, and Garrett probably had his. They were still trying to figure life out at this school. And he also still loved every moment of it.
He wanted to know what Garrett was thinking but as if trying to get him to tell ever worked. It just seemed to be one of those waste of time stressful things. And he'd rather not cause more issues. Garrett had already been turned and forced away from his family. Where Darien had no one but Garrett so it hadn't bothered him as much. He did to this day still seriously worry for his best friend. What if he did something stupid? What if he got into a fight with someone? Those ideas kept going through his head right now. He didn't know what to do. Or how to handle this, it felt so foreign and strange to him.
Darien wouldn't admit he felt bad. That was wrong, he already managed to hurt someone. He didn't want to do that, since it wasn't likely to make matters any better. Basically. He walked back to the dorm, thought about just skipping classes. It didn't matter if he didn't show up for one day right? Just one day out of the whole year. Or more then one day knowing Darien. He didn't have a lot of bonus points when it came to that stuff. He never would basically. And he already knew that. "Fine I don't feel like waking up early anyway. "He mumbled as he crawled into bed against Garrett. Darien's body was worn out, more so after letting him feed, so of course right now he just wanted to get some sleep. At least for a little while.
The bed was comfy and he was already dozing off it seemed. MADE BY ★MEULK OF GS
