HUMAN, malakai grayson

Zax wasn't always known as Zax, he was born as Malakai Grayson, the only male child to the Grayson family. The rest of the children were just girls, who apparently couldn't take over. As his father so delicately had put it to his wife. If only they knew as the baby boy grew up he had other plans. Or maybe it was fate that had other plans for Malakai. In his father's lessons he just kept getting bored, and would doodle on his papers instead. The fact that his lesson's started when he was only four made it even harder for him to pay attention. He only seemed to make his father angry which of course ended with punishments. He was hit for the first time at the age of ten. Which only caused him to lash back out and hit his father with a book. Of course the boy felt guilty and apologized before running off. But still his father had asked for it. Malakai did not want to be involved in his father's business. He wanted to have his own life instead. Even with how many times his father had pretty much said that was not allowed.

Even when they finally shoved him into school, he just slipped classes in that he wanted. But really his father made sure to monitor everything. Tell him that he had to get good grades, and every time he didn't punishment was involved. The boy was eventually removed from school completely to be taught by his father. At least up till high school, then they finally allowed him to go back. Mostly because Malakai had started to make things difficult. With his mother pregnant again, the time they had to teach the boy was now spent on baby related things. It felt good for him to be ignored, and allowed to have some freedom. It meant he got to do whatever he wanted, without those hands wrapped tight around his neck. His father still tried to control thing but it only ended up more failure for the older man. He thought everything would be fine after that, but how wrong was he?

His parents had stopped contacting him, and he didn't know why. What he didn't get was that his parents enemies were closing in on them. And that also meant Malakai too. The girl he'd been dating at the time actually happened to be the daughter to the man after Malakai's father. It did not occur to him that once his parents disappeared, they'd come after him. He had only been walking home late one night with her when they attacked. He doesn't actually remember anything from that moment. The woman had set him up though, she had brought him out so they could find his parents but in the end it still failed because Malakai never gave the location away. Mostly out of the fact that he didn't know where they had gone.

With that he had been left there to die, and his memories from before that are basically gone. He can't remember a single thing and when he woke up in the hospital he assumed he'd never be able to again. Figuring out Elliot had been the one to find him hadn't made him feel any better. He just moved in with the man while attending Arden Academy since his wounds have not entirely healed yet. All he has is the few memories that aren't completely blacked out and his name. Oh and the ones he's made with Elliot but that's all he has. Malakai is repeating his senior year because of the accident, it's just a lot harder then he thought it would be because of his missing memories.
