history Elias was born in Northern California, to a lower middle class family, in a small town with a population of around 10,000. Ever since he was little he had been special. Even his birth had been a miracle, as he had been premature and managed to survive while every doctor in the hospital foretold that he would pass away young. This boy kept living however, as he's still around today, but he didn't just survive. Elias thrived. When he was young, he excelled in school quickly. His grades were always straight A's and his teachers always had good things to say about him. He was a well behaved, kind and considerate little boy, with the smarts to boot. He was the perfect child. However as he grew up this 'perfect' label quickly caught up with him. Schools from around the state pined for his attention. He was a brilliant mind, and had a bright future ahead of him if he was able to attend the schools that sought him out. His parents couldn't afford the tuition for many of these schools, though, and it caused both his parents two work overtime. The absence of his parents at home became normal to him, though it encouraged the boy to learn new skills like cooking and cleaning at a young age. When he was in middle school his parents managed to save enough money to send him to a high end private school, and thankfully with his excellent grades, more schools sent him letters with offers for scholarships. He advanced far too quickly through school for his peers to keep up. Elias skipped several grades through his adolescent years, and even started college courses when he was just fourteen years old. More labels were placed on him then, a genius, prodigy, but Eli never saw what other's did. School just came naturally to him, and if it weren't for his parents he would never have been able to achieve as much as he had. His father died of a heart attack before he could graduate high school, and his mother was ill from age. His parents had overworked themselves over the years they had saved money just so he could have a future, and he realized that the only way he would be able to help her was if he used his opportunities to finish school. He graduated college at age nineteen, with a degree in medicine and has since worked in hospitals around his area. When he was proposed the job at Arden, he had declined it because of his mother. However the headmaster had been persistent. After a generous proposal that he couldn't refuse, and the approval of his mother, he moved them both to Colorado. He works full time at Arden, and takes care of his mother in the evenings. Though even when he's not working at the school he's still doing some form of community service.
