COMMON, darien brennan

Really his life was basically ordinary. Well as ordinary as the son born of a woman who worked at night. Mostly with other men. It didn't help that he doesn't know who his real father is. The green eyes are not from his mother, or his mother's apparent boyfriend at the time. But really the boy is just a silent keep to himself. His mother left him with random people night after night so he's always been raised around things. Not good things, anyway. That is till he ended up meeting Garrett. The two boys were friends quickly, even if he was a bit of a brat.

His mother didn't get the chance to leave him with strangers anymore no she was leaving him with his friends when she worked. Not that it changed what she had already put in his head. That those things people did in clubs was actually perfectly normal. He'd never end up doing anything bad since thanks to her it wasn't bad to him. Even with him being raised by Garrett's family he didn't change what his mother showed him. As he got older he started to flirt with people, only thinking these things were natural. But it didn't matter, soon enough his mother would find a new boyfriend. And Darien for a few months had stopped spending time around Garrett. His mother and her new boyfriend tried to keep him under lock and key for awhile. It did not work out that way.

Darien started to go out there to sneak around with Garrett. Back to being the friends they really were at that point. The children had no idea how bad life would be. Or where they'd go with things. They had only been walking back to his house, thinking no one was there so they could get some of Darien's stuff. Since he did spend a lot of time at his friend's house. To bad things would change, the boy had thought it'd be alright. He was starting to make a good life for himself with Garrett's family. Till that time they had gone back to his house out of the blue to just find a few things. His mother had brought her boy toy over, and that thing had started to feed on her. Draining her had been his plan, which the two boys interrupted. Darien tried to drag Garrett back so they could escape, but it still failed. They were turned, and it was not a pleasant turn for either of them.

With his mother long gone, Darien only had this jerk who wanted them to call him master, and serve his needs. They had no control over anything. And at that moment he always thought it was his fault. That this would just continue to be his fault. Darien didn't know what Garrett had planned, the idea of escape was so far from his mind thanks to everything that had happened to them. He was physically, mentally and otherwise probably broken. Just because of them being there, and well Garrett being turned because of him didn't help. That will to keep going was because of Garrett only. He was afraid they'd die, but if he had to die he'd end up pushing Garrett out first. So he'd be able to live. That was what he had been set on.

And when they did get out, well it was a bit of a complicated matter. The boys could just keep running and running, till they found a way to Arden. Hiding here was probably not the best idea but what else could they do? Darien had no idea what might be worse or better for them. So he keeps going along with Garrett's plan though he's worried about that guy showing up again.
