HUNTER, nate rochester

Nate is the youngest baby in the Rochester family, the last one born before his parents decided not to have anymore kids. He followed after Caelan into the hunter lifestyle. Since the parents kept saying they already had plans for the kids. The two boys were not entirely allowed to have a normal childhood. He was younger then Caelan by two years but he still tried to keep up with his big brother. And his brother's annoying friend that soon slipped into the picture. He could never really compare to them. Caelan was the perfect child the one who had no issues where Nate hated knowing he had to hurt people. He'd cry about it till eventually over time just to get his parents attention he made himself get used to it. Killing things doesn't bother him very much now, and he's still in his big brother's shadow. Mostly the shadow had to do with hunting. Anything else his parents took some notice of. They'd learned to split time between all four children.

Nate distanced from people while Caelan got closer to them. It was strange the children were switching personalities almost. And it might not be a bad thing but it wasn't good either. He just had to deal with it. Nate didn't care what people thought he focused completely on his hunting. While his brother dated Devan, Nate was focusing on hunting. Trying to get ahead of them but it didn't work out very well either. Nate still failed, he was still somewhat behind them. And even when he finally realized that he didn't want to be a hunter anymore it was too late to change. The child just worked on his skills, finishing up school. Or so he thought till he got thrown into Arden with his brother and his brother's boy toy. He avoids Devan and Caelan with a passion. He does not go out of his way to even talk to them.

The school is the next best thing though, he can learn more from the experienced hunters here without Caelan and Devan trying to knock him down or beat him in something for once.

Written Personality

Nate is complex in personality, and just about everything else. His typical personality is loner, slightly angry if only to keep people away from him. It is not his choice to let others get close to him so he purposely distances himself. So much so that he can even get to the point of being rude, or blunt to scare them away.

Before realizing his parents had pretty much abandoned him and his brother, he had actually been a happy, relaxed boy that had the fear of making friends, it didn't stop him from trying. Now he locked all of that away with the memories of his past wanting to be antisocial and left alone. He is very curious about normal people, the way they act even they do the things that they do. Probably because Nate misses being one of those normal people though he would never admit it.

His lack of trust makes it hard for him to create relationships or even keep them going for long periods of time. Nate does not have a filter being a nobody he will just speak his mind, say whatever it is. Add that onto the lack of care he already has for other peoples feelings Nate might not be the most social or nice person. He has a lot of rage towards his brother so he can been known to snap at him. Out of his personality this is probably the most real negative emotion he has.

However underneath that cold...fake emotional appearance he gives the boy does worry about others. It's just all of that is so fake to him ever since he started is hunter training he fears getting connected at the risk of destroying someone else. The boy can seem quite forceful if he really wants to know something though most of the time he picks to walk away.

At first glance he doesn't really seem worried about much. Though he does have another side of him...slightly fake as well. If he is freaked out or it sometimes just happens randomly Nate gains a more child like personality. One full of curiosity, fear and less blunt then his usual one. He doesn't really talk much in this form either, since he only does well around small groups or just one person.
