The surname Tyrell has its own and unique meaning, consisting of different traits:

• It stands for winter. Tyrell’s family members are always born in winter, starting the 21st of December and ending the 20th of March.

• It refers to power and strength. Their strength is shown through their unique and irreplaceable power: Ecokinesis.

• It hides the meaning of ‘sent for’. Tyrell’s family members believe to have been sent to change vampire history through their pacifistic ideals towards human beings. They consider themselves as protectors of a supreme will; the will to coexist with any and each living being on earth’s surface.

The Tyrell exist since before people started to count time. However, it is unknown for how long the family has been on this earth, as well as it is unknown what other names it had in other cultures. In the present time there are only two living members of the family: Jyuri and her father Eric. As it has been already said, members of the Tyrell family have always believed to be divine protectors of a superior good, sacrificing their own existence in order to achieve a peaceful world where human beings and vampires could coexist. For this reason, the Tyrell family has always worked secretly for this purpose, trying to convince small vampire communities to follow their ideals. They were known in vampire society for that, but always despised until very recent times, where noble vampire families have decided to share this world with humans and suppress their instinctive thirst through blood tablets.

However, every five centuries, a cursed member is born. Cursed members do not follow the family’s ideals. Quite the contrary, they believe vampires to be deities sent to rule over those who are weaker than them. They despite human beings and identify them as mere sacrifices, necessary for vampire development. Eric is the actual living cursed member. Married to Minari –Jyuri’s mother– for convenience, Eric planned his own personal rebellion since the day he started to reason. He waited, waited patiently before making his move. He faked to love his wife, a love that never existed, and he faked to care about his own daughter to avoid suspicion. But when the right time came, Eric unleashed his power and murdered his wife, breaking any bonds he could have with her.

Why did he let Jyuri live, you may be questioning yourselves. Well, that is something the already grown vampire ignores herself. The day her mother was murdered, Yuria was sleeping peacefully in her room. She was fifteen years old. She woke up at night, the time in which she was supposed to be awake as a vampire. Silence ruled over the house. It was cold. The entrance door was completely open and it was raining, water filling the corridor. Jyuri ran into her parents’ room only to find the dead body of her mother lying on the gelid floor, no signs of her father being there.

Jyuri lost herself. She sat beside her mother’s body for weeks. No eating, no sleeping, nothing. She couldn’t think of anything either. Only one thought crossed her mind: revenge. However, instead of looking for her father, Jyuri decided to wait. There were only two Tyrell in the whole world, and Tyrell members are destined to be together sooner or later. Eric would come back to look for her; she knew it.

As an aristocrat, Jyuri was gifted with the special and unique ability to manipulate nature, which basically means that she is connected directly and can communicate, influence, manipulate and control nature: all living beings and plants. More concretely, Jyuri can create, shape and manipulate plants, including wood, vines, plants, moss, and parts of the plants, such as leaves, seeds, fruits and flowers. She can cause plants to grow, move or attack and revive withered or dead plants.

Because Jyuri can communicate with nature itself, she becomes instantly familiar with her surroundings, the connection is so deep that the earth can respond to her emotions and desires (blossoming with flowers when happy, for example). Furthermore, Jyuri can purify, heal and generally influence the health of nature. And considering the fact that she's helping the environment, plants and animals act favorably towards her.

Physique:

Jyuri's most striking feature has always been and will always be her striking sunny-brunette hair. Completely natural, it makes her completely stand out in most standard crowds. When she was younger it made her a little self conscious, but now that she is older she has decided that it makes her unique and special, so she flaunts it as opposed to trying to hide it. Shiny and healthy, it has attracted more than one boy in her past and much to their surprise, she is not just a simple easy floozy. After a verbal lashing, the boys soon realized that she was not one to try and mess with. Keeping her hair shiny and healthy has always been something she was conscious of. Along with her bright hair, she has beautiful glowing blue eyes which really enhance her face and make it a distinguishing feature as a whole that she is often positively commented for from adults and people her own age as well. She is proud of her looks and will change for no-one.

Next to her hair, the other major feature that people usually comment on or notice is her height (5'8" along with 121 lbs). She is not a gigantic person, but standing at her current height does often put her taller than many of the people around her which sometimes makes her the butt of jokes. Nothing malicious, but slight teasing enough to make her roll her eyes or sigh.

The main impact her size has is it makes it harder for her to find some nice clothes and shoes, but she gets by with the things she can find, as she is not super picky. Somewhat loose in terms of style, she just wants to look appropriate for the situation at hand. She is not one of the girls who always has her mid-section revealed, and shirts with the cut so low that her boobs are hanging out. She has a sense of self image and believes that she doesn't need to hang out of her clothes to make friends or be popular or any of that nonsense. As long as she can be comfortable, she doesn't really care too much about the colors or styles.

Overall personality:

Let's talk about first impressions. They're quite important aren't they? When meeting Jyuri for the first time, most people tend to be intimidated. Not necessarily threatened, but intimidated nevertheless. She's definitely a handful; words that describe her vary largely from talkative, enthusiastic, opinionated, and passionate to strong-willed, decisive, confident and dynamic. Those are all accurate descriptions, and they highlight two distinct temperaments that govern her personality. She is a born leader, and a social butterfly. This combination of attitudes makes Jyuri almost completely operate in an outward manner; she's an extrovert through and through. She holds almost nothing back, and she wears her emotions on her sleeves. As such, you'll know exactly how she's feeling within seconds of being around her. If she's happy, she'll glow with an aurora of contagious joy; when angry, she's a walking ball of fire; and if she's sad, you'll be soaked by the downpour of her miserable storm cloud.

Jyuri is at her best when dealing with people. She is highly receptive and open to others, allowing her to build relationships rather quickly. When interacting with anybody she invests genuine interest into their life, if only for that brief moment. As a result, she is highly animated and excited during conversations, smiling and talking cheerfully, while looking you in the eye and listening with undivided attention. It's not unusual to feel as if you've known Jyuri for years after only a few minutes of interaction. You can thank the unwavering confidence and comfort she has in herself for her affinity with people. She's so people-orientated that she easily loses track of time and is often late to scheduled events. In her mind, it doesn't really matter though. If the person she was talking to had a really cool story, damn it, she was going to stay for the whole thing!

Jyuri 's confidence also serves to give her an edge: a fiery passion and strong will among other things. She is, to say the least, highly opinionated. Now, that isn't to say that she tends to believe she's right about something but she won't hesitate to tell you how she feels and why she feels a certain way about any given topic. When it comes to her beliefs and values, things she holds very dear to her heart, she will not back down when challenged. She's not afraid of stepping on toes; she won't pull punches and she won't mince words. In fact, when it comes to those two things, Jyuri hopes to persuade you into changing your worldview and aligning it with hers. Some of those core values include integrity, prestige, leadership, and friendship; not to mention the more common values of family, personal growth, and good ol' fun.

Now, that passion, coupled with her confidence and a limitless pool of ambition is what makes her such a great leader. Due to her amazing people skills that were highlighted above, Jyuri is a great motivator and manager of personalities. She quickly unearths the things that make people tick and proceeds to light a fire under them, moving them to action and producing results as efficiently as possible.
