| Never really stayed in one place Maybe that's the way it should be Atti wanted to help him, he wanted to calm his friend down. Digging under his pillow he pulled out tissues and handed them over to Al. He didn't understand. That room down there was just a room to him. At least he thought it was. But maybe he was wrong. Either way things happened. There was no getting past that part at this moment. He could only hope his friend would feel better. "Here, it's fine though really. Uncle is just a very fierce person sometimes...It's weird. He didn't like anyone going down there before unless it was father." Atti didn't know how to explain this, he barely knew what to feel at this point anyway. It just didn't seem to actually help him. Matters were already complicated enough and he'd rather not deal with it. Even if this was all he could do, he'd just keep on doing it. Nothing more and nothing less. Depending. But he didn't care that he got in trouble.
He cared about Al. And it wasn't like he could hear the two of them talking down there. His hearing wasn't as good as Al's was. Simply put. Now that he was thinking about it he wanted to know what his family was saying. Just how could he handle what they knew and hadn't told him? Atti just leaned against his friend and sighed a little bit. He wanted to apologize and yet he didn't even know how to. What was he supposed to do? This confused him so much, and it made his head hurt on top of that right now. The voices were quiet, so only Al could hear them. Atti just wanted to make his friend feel better.
"What I was thinking is that if I send the child home, he'll get in trouble for one. And Atti will start questioning everything. I had no reason to send him home. He's a pure blood yes, but has he hurt anyone yet? He's too small to do that. Do you really want Atti questioning why his friend has to go home? You've scared his other friends off because of how you act. This one might not be safe, but would you rather have him wandering around other humans, or here where you can watch him closely." She would not let him talk her out of letting Atti's friend stay. The boy was nice, he didn't do anything bad so far. And she'd rather have him here then wandering about where he might attack other people.
"I can't just make him scared of everything. After his mother died, for years he would not stay alone. Don't you remember, he followed you around like a lost puppy too. He's finally coming out of that shell. Yes his friend's a vampire, so what. Atti doesn't know that, and he'll never know that. Let him make the choice here, and watch them. If the pure blood was deemed dangerous he would be dealt with by someone else already. Attikus doesn't realize they exist, or that he has hunter in his blood. He'll start questioning things if we cut them off now." She looked at the boy before her. He was always one for jumping into things. Cutting Atti off from Al wouldn't help matters.
He would have to realize that, and she didn't entirely mind the small child. He didn't seem bad, she was still worried but not for the same reason as other people might have been. |

VOICES WON'T GO AWAY they stay for days and days They say some awful things, ways to make you fade away Alastor had to admit, that Atti's uncle was bolder than most. Hunters that he'd met before gave him sharp looks, but they'd never dared try to touch him. Perhaps it was due to his parents always and forever overseeing him no matter what. He could have really used them at a time like this, but he was on his own and he had to be strong. Though no matter what he realized he was going to be in even more trouble. How ironic, and unusual it was that of all the homes he could have ended up in he stumbled upon a hunter family.
The voices downstairs were very muffled, and he could only hear if he kept completely quite, but after a little while he felt guilty for eavesdropping and stopped doing so. He didn't want to hear anything that he'd later regret. "You're uncle doesn't like me very much." He replied factually, not entirely offended by this -or at least not anymore. He wondered if this changed how Attikus saw him. Did he not like him anymore either?
"He hasn't hurt anyone yet, but he very well could and you know that too! Don't treat me like I'm still a little kid. I know how old he is but that doesn't matter. I...I didn't mean to scare off his friends before, but this is different." He was stumbling over his words while he spoke, trying not to sound like he agreed with her but he did realize what she was getting at. Having that pureblood out with some other family, he was at least grateful that they'd stopped him here before he did hurt someone.
He knew well that Atti had been so attached to him before. He may have seemed like he didn't care, but he wasn't good at showing softer sides. It didn't help that he was already so protective of the boy, even more so now that his true mother was no longer with them. "Whatever..." He grumbled, turning his cheek from her. "But I can't let that boy stay here." The man returned his eyes to his mother, showing his seriousness. "And it's not just for my own reasons. His parents, I highly doubt they would have allowed him to wander around during the day on his own. If they go looking for him and find out that he's been staying in a hunter home, it might put all of you in danger."

| Never really stayed in one place Maybe that's the way it should be Atti just wished his Uncle would relax, his mother and father had. So why couldn't his uncle do the same? The very idea of it was annoying. But what did he know? It'd probably not end up mattering either. He was already out of there, and just here with Al. He wanted to make Al feel a lot better. If it would even be possible. So far not so much. Atti felt that he'd already fall. He'd probably already end up stepping over someone's toes. Atti had been good at that even with his own family more or less. "He's just...I don't know how to explain it. He's not that bad of a person he just has some issues. They are complicated." He leaned against Al, and only wanted to stay with him. Though he had a feeling it might not happen. Just that small feeling he couldn't entirely ignore. He felt bad enough that Al had gotten dragged into this. Why did this have to happen? Would he really be okay? Atti almost wondered in his parents were still talking.
His Uncle did need to start liking people but as if it'd end up happening. What was he supposed to do? For the moment he started to feel a bit awkward. Yet he was just stuck in this situation. Like maybe it wouldn't end up helping either. With a small sigh, he tried to calm down. Al needed him to keep calm instead, if he got bothered by things he'd only end up upsetting someone. Like his friend, or his family. One of the two more or less. He didn't know what his family was even talking about, but he'd have to deal with that for now. ""You need to realize this, and not push him. If you don't like Al being here then fine. Take him home, but don't bring any of this up. Atti does not need to know it. Pretty much. So you'll have to figure out how you manage to do that. Without making Atti mad." She didn't need the drama, not at all. So what was he going to do? She'd rather see her child happy, but would it even mean anything? Probably not. This boy of hers was so set on taking Al home. But what would he do to the child?
"Just don't hurt him. Got it? You hurt him and I'll make sure you regret it somehow. Simple as that really. Now you have to figure out the rest on your own. He's not a dangerous child yet. But if you keep pushing him he might just become that. Do you really want that. Think about that while you take him home to his parents."True his parents might not have allowed it. But who cared. This was not important, none of that mattered. It'd just end up getting her into something. As much as she hated it they needed to take him home. His parents were probably missing him. Or they were mad. Whichever. Having him in a hunter's house was not a good idea. She might know what her son was getting at. But what she said had another meaning to it. One based on Atti mostly.
But what could she do. It seemed her child was already set on removing Al from this place. |

VOICES WON'T GO AWAY they stay for days and days They say some awful things, ways to make you fade away Alastor glanced over at the red haired boy as he felt him lean against him. He seemed frustrated, slightly annoyed perhaps? Alastor felt bad because of it. He hadn't meant to cause such a stir within his family. He realized he'd done a bad thing by coming here. It was irresponsible of him in general to try and run away even if it would just be for a day. His parents were going to be really upset.
He stared at Attikus, watching his expression while he listened to him sigh. Yes, he was definitely upset too. Alastor didn't want him getting angry like his uncle had. He raised his hand, lifting it so he could pat the human boy on the head gently, hoping that this would keep him calm. They didn't need more than one person to be angry at once. Alastor disliked fighting very much so.
He listened to her, all the while with a harsh furrow in his brow. He hated being lectured like anyone else, especially by his mother. Though he understood her more now that she explained things the way she had. The man raised his eyes to the woman as she warned him not to hurt the child, sincerely surprised that she'd even say such a thing "I'd never hurt him. Unless it's mandated I wouldn't risk any of our lives by doing something so stupid."
He sighed, rubbing his forehead in a frustrated manner. "Fine. But I'm taking him home now. It's already passed sunset." He lowered his hand from his face, and strode towards the door, giving her a single glance before trying to relax his expression for when he'd have to face Attikus in a moment.
Alastor could hear footsteps moving up the stairs, and instinctively looked at the door. He retracted his hand from the human boy's head, afraid he'd get him in trouble again. He knew it was the man coming, if not for the more brutish thud of his boots against the floor, but the scent of him getting stronger. He watched the door anxiously until it opened, unmoving as it did. The man seemed different. His aura was far less angry and hostile, but it was still hinted that he wasn't pleased. He looked over the two boy's and leaned nervously against the door frame before he could speak.
"Atti, your friends gotta go home."

| Never really stayed in one place Maybe that's the way it should be Atti was a bit tired now yes, but no he refused to sleep. All he wanted to do right now was glance at him. Al could stay right? His momma didn't seem against it before. So like her opinion would change now but his Uncle was another story. His uncle was such a jerk sometimes, but even then he might have reasons. Atti however wasn't thinking of that right now. Why would he? Atti didn't even know what to do. This made him feel confused. Though it'd probably not end up doing any good. His Uncle and Mother were still talking by the sound of it. And he wasn't too sure how to go about handling that. But one couldn't blame him for that could they? He didn't know what his friend's parents were going to do. Really. This felt really strange. For a moment he'd rather not get into the awkward things that were happening. At least at this point.
The boy relaxed again and just stayed leaning against Al like that. This was fine. Nothing bad would happen, Atti knew that much. Yet he also felt a bit awkward. Like just maybe he wasn't handling things properly. Not as he should have at the very least. It felt way too confusing to him. Yet he'd just deal with it some other way. Somehow if he could anyway. So far it was not happening. And probably never would. "I'm sorry." He mumbled again and just sighed. He felt tired. This whole situation had only stressed him out. Go figure he had very little luck on these sort of things it seemed. Apparently. Yet he'd rather not drag this on any further right now. Since it wasn't likely to help him or Al.
"Good now if you must take him home then you better get to it." She would leave him alone after that and just go to do her own thing. Really she wasn't bothered, yet she felt bad at the same time. Atti probably wanted his friend to stay here. But like that'd end up working out very well. Atti looked at his friend then to his Uncle. And he could only grumble. "NO! he's staying here. It's not fair! You always do this." He grumbled again and threw his stuffed animal on the bed, then looked to Al. He just nuzzled his friend and hugged him. "I-I guess you should go home. Uncle is trying to force you too...I'll see you at the park okay?" He whispered a little, so his Uncle couldn't hear and only his friend could. He wasn't so bothered by this.
But he didn't want his friend to have to go. That was all. What could he end up doing? At this point it might not end up helping either. "Uncle just take him home, and don't do anything else." He grumbled and let Al hold onto his stuffed animal again. He would let him take it home for now, and that was all. For now he wanted to just go hide and growl at his Uncle. |

VOICES WON'T GO AWAY they stay for days and days They say some awful things, ways to make you fade away Attikus had no real reason to apologize to him, or at least this was what he thought. However he accepted the gesture politely and gave the red haired boy a small grin in response. Though now that the door was open, and an adult was watching them, he kept to himself so as not to get the boy in more trouble than he likely already was.
Internally he was startled to hear Atti yell. He hadn't been expecting it, especially not from someone who had no authority to do so - at least not against an adult like his uncle. It was strange, that soon after Attikus shouted, he felt so special yet again. Different from how he usually felt, and something that he couldn't well define. He pushed himself off of the bed, and prepared to move towards the man's uncle, not wanting to protest or cause a scene. His mother would be looking for him if she hadn't started already.
He froze when he felt Attikus hug him. His form rocked slightly from the momentum of the little boy's gesture but he managed to keep them upright. He felt so awkward, even nervous being embraced this way. It seemed like such a human thing to do, but he knew if he didn't return it that he likely would never be able to again. He lifted his arms and wrapped them around his friend, patting him on the back so he wouldn't feel so bad. He knew that he'd have to go home eventually, he simply didn't mean to make Atti upset.
"Okay." He muttered back, wondering if he would ever see Attikus again..truthfully. He reluctantly let go of the human boy, and glanced down at the stuffed animal in his hand. It wasn't his, but as he looked up at Attikus, he seemed to understand that he was letting him keep it. Who would have thought that humans could be so...kind. He held the lion close to his chest, and stepped away from the boy even though he didn't want to leave. He glanced over at Atti's uncle, refusing to be scared of him as he walked over to the man.
"Attikus.." Hearing such words from his nephew, it made him feel terrible. Even the boy thought that he would do something to this child. He sighed, looking from Alastor to his nephew, moving away so the pureblood could walk past him and into the hallway. He sighed, before parting his lips to speak. "I'll be back soon. I'd like to talk to you later." He wasn't even sure if he'd be able to given the boy's mood, but he would at least try. He gave Atti one last glance before he turned on his heel and shut the door behind him.

| Never really stayed in one place Maybe that's the way it should be What was he supposed to do? This confused him already by this point, and he'd rather let it go. Somehow. What was he going to do? This might not end up being the best but he'd deal. For a moment he felt tired again, Attikus felt his energy fading. He wanted to get some sleep that was all. Nothing else mattered right now. This was just how it end up being more or less anyway. What could he say? Al was gone and that left him all alone which he hated every second of that. More or less. What could he do? He had a feeling it might not end up helping him very much either. Logically this was bad, he let his best friend or well new friend go off with his jerk of an uncle. Why? He didn't even want to see that stupid monkey. He was mean. And had always been. Atti just didn't even seem to respond. What was the point. He waved to Al again before they left.
After all his friend was gone now, and his friend wasn't likely to come back for awhile. Go figure. What was he going to say? What was he going to do? At this moment it might not end up being so bad. Mostly. Either way he couldn't be certain it might not end up so well for him. Basically. Why did his Uncle have to be so mean? He only wanted a friend over. It couldn't be so bad to have a friend over, or someone being good to him. How bad was that really? This shouldn't have mattered and to Attikus it didn't. He wanted his friend to be back here in his room and they could play again. But like that'd even end up happening at this point apparently anyway.
Atti watched from his window as they left. The little boy curled into a small boy with his stuffed animal and just whimpered. He didn't want to be bothered. He wanted to be left alone now. It made him cry since his Uncle forced Al to go home. He hated all of this. But what would he do? Not like he'd be able to stop an adult from roaming somewhere, or doing anything like that anyway. At least for now. What was he supposed to do. How was he supposed to figure this out somehow. It might not end up doing him much of any good at this point.
Atti hated that his friend had been shoved away. Why was his uncle so mean? What point did any of that have? Right now probably nothing. Why the heck did that guy even want to talk to him? What point did that have really. |
