Your forever is all that I need
Please stay as long as you need He felt so out of place here, like maybe he shouldn't have gone with him. But if Caelan hadn't then it would end with Devan getting hurt. His ex boyfriend still had a special place in his heart, so seeing him hurt was scary. The reason he leaned against Devan it was for comfort, protection. Also because his body was starting to feel faint. As if the blood loss was starting to get to him. Though he didn't bring it up. Caelan needed to keep calm, focused and help Devan out. It'd help him a lot since he didn't want to make him panic. Panic was bad enough already with everything that had happened. "I know." He laughed, he was still trying to play on the fact that this didn't bother him.
He couldn't ditch Devan. That boy was too important. It worried him to think some day he'd have to leave him. And he didn't want think of when that could be. When it happened was still not up to him. But it was one of those things. He was still worried but Caelan had learned to cover that up. He didn't need people to be concerned about him. After all what good would it end up doing for any of them? Caelan felt dizzy but he kept his focus. He'd be alright, he didn't think he had much to worry about. However he felt bad for causing problems for Devan. If he had been careful he'd be fine. Being caught off guard like that had made him mad. Mostly at himself.
"Devan...it's bothering you isn't it." He had to ask. He knew Devan was hurt. While he didn't like it he knew. But what good would he be able to do. He was injured pretty bad, it was a miracle he was still actually awake. Caelan looked in the direction of the sun. He'd finally begun to notice his neck was hurting. He took a deep breathe and settled down in the seat. Maybe he'd be okay. He had to at least think he'd be alright. For now at least. "Hah totally. Though for the second one can we pick a better location? A place where we aren't on the menu." This was all him joking around. He tried to keep his attitude light and happy.
No matter how much it hurt. "F-fine.." He tried to take off his shirt but he struggled. With his neck this way it was not easy to. And Caelan also didn't have a lot of energy to even do that. Not right now. So what was he supposed to do. It might just hurt him more, but he looked at Devan thinking of how to get his help without using words to ask for it. |

Of course it was bothering him. He didn't exactly enjoy seeing Caelan like this. Whether he was a friend, or a partner, Devan didn't like seeing anyone in pain, period. However, he realized that his reluctance and nervousness was showing how concerned he was. He had to do a better job of hiding it from now on, for Caelan's sake. "Tch, don't make me laugh. You're gonna be fine. I'm just glad that we're out of that creepy ass building."Devan smiled, and carefully went about helping Caelan get his shirt off. He was extra careful to not touch the boy's neck with his hands, or the shirt, as he slipped it over his head and pulled it off. Caelan's ruffled, slightly messy hair was a good look for him, but not even Devan had the chance to stand in awe at how absolutely adorable he was given the present matter at hand. He tossed the bloody shirt into the back seat, while retrieving the supplies he needed to help take care of Caelan's injury. When he stepped before him once more he was wielding a bottle of water and a brown bottle of rubbing alcohol, and it was obvious what he was about to do. "This is really gonna hurt Cally, but I promise I'll give you one free punch if you soldier through it." He smirked, though in all honesty he didn't expect Caelan to do anything less. Whether the boy was ready or not, he rested the brown bottle down first and uncapped the lit to the water. He didn't ask for permission to drip it across the boy's neck, even though he knew it would still hurt quite a bit. He just needed to wash some of the blood off, and once he had he was greatly relieved that the bite marks weren't as horrible as they'd appeared. When he picked up the alcohol, he looked over at Caelan just to make sure he was at least somewhat prepared. "I'll give you to the count of three okay?" He said, tilting the boy's chin just slightly to the side to expose his neck blatantly for him to see. He uncapped the brown bottle, held it over the bite marks, and started to count. "One..Two.." Devan however only waited till two to start pouring the rubbing alcohol over the fresh wound. He had to, assuming that it would hurt Caelan less if he wasn't waiting for the pain. @ caelan || sorry cael!

Your forever is all that I need
Please stay as long as you need Caelan felt sick, he didn't know what to do. The bite was starting to hurt him more, and he hated it. What was he going to do? The boy felt that he was getting in over his head suddenly. What could he say. He should have been careful. He should have stayed with Devan. Now he was bad, and uncomfortable even. Which annoyed him to no end at this point. However he'd keep it to himself. He knew Devan was worried about him. That made him feel really bad. Caelan didn't like to worry his boyfriend or well ex after all. Were they still dating? Why did that come up now. It made him want to grumble but instead his head was spinning. "Same that building was annoying. Let's just go home soon. I don't feel good." Blood loss would be a factor. But of course he'd rather think about this in a different way. For now. Yet what was Caelan doing to him. The bloody shirt made him feel sick again. He didn't like it.
Knowing he felt this, what was he going to do about it. Without this going the way he wanted it'd probably not end up working all that well. For this moment he wanted to know what he'd have to say. He was already stuck. Tense and stuck, having to rely on someone else didn't sound comfortable to him. It was weird enough. And yet at the same time he was a bit strange. Maybe he'd be fine. After all Devan could take care of him. But that didn't mean Caelan felt right doing this, it'd hurt him wouldn't it? "Devan I'm sorry...really sorry about that. It was...just I got scared." He was talking, and he hated to admit it. That bothered him so much. To feel this way was not something he enjoyed.
"O-ow! fine...Just finish it." Caelan was biting his lip as he waited, he waited for the pain. Caelan wanted to get it over with. Though he had a feeling it wasn't about to get him anything. Devan had warned him it would hurt and when it did hurt he wanted to cry out. But no he didn't. The only sound was a small whimper. A very small whimper that only Devan would hear. Caelan didn't get any better when it was poured directly on his wounds. How did he feel this. Why? It hurt so much, Caelan started to whimper and squirm slightly. But he knew he had to be stronger then this. Caelan's body had worse, the past events he'd rather not think about.
"F-fucker...Hurry up." Caelan tried to act fierce he didn't want to show it hurt. Caelan's face was shadowed by his bangs, so at least no pain would be seen even if it was all over his face. |

Devan wasn't rejecting the idea of them going home one bit, but he felt that he had to at least take care of the major damage to Caelan first before they went anywhere. He didn't want to swerve off the road while in a panic because his best friend passed out from blood loss. He wouldn't respond to the boy's previous statements until he was taken care of, but the whimpers that he heard coming from Caelan were enough to make even his skin crawl. He felt like such an ass for having to do this to him. It was as if he was the one that had initially hurt Caelan to begin with, and Devan felt guilty as hell -regardless of how he was saving him from any potential illnesses or infections by doing this. Devan watched Caelan's every move, trying to gauge his responses to estimate how much this was hurting him, but he was sincerely surprised that Cael was remaining so withdrawn. Surely this hurt like all hell. Devan knew what it felt like to have rubbing alcohol poured over and open wound, but he gave Caelan plenty of credit for still managing to keep so calm in the midst of all of this. He cleared his throat uncomfortably after Caelan cursed at him, knowing that he deserved it. "Sorry.." He replied, apologizing at last even if it wasn't entirely necessary. He capped the bottle of rubbing alcohol after the wound was entirely drenched. Some of the blood had mixed with the water and alcohol and was dripping down Caelan's chest but Devan paid little mind to it as he threw the rest of his things into the back seat and bragged a clean roll of gauze and bandages. It was unfortunate that they couldn't go to a real hospital for something like this. Devan felt like his 'medical training' was sincerely lacking, but they had little choice. "As soon as we cover this up we'll head back to the dorms, unless you want to go home." Devan could only assume that his parents would be worried if they found out he got hurt, again because it had been all his fault. Caelan's parents likely hated him at this point. He pressed a clean square of medical cloth over the bite, and held it there firmly while he used his teeth to unravel the tape enough that he could apply it himself without asking Caelan for help. "This wasn't your fault by the way. It was mine." He said in response to Caelan's previous comment about how he'd gotten scared and panicked. He didn't want him blaming himself. "I don't really think I'm cut out for this hunter stuff. I really suck at it." He laughed a bit nervously, making a joke at his own expense in an attempt to make Caelan feel better. In truth he wasn't entirely joking. @ caelan || doctor devan in the house

Your forever is all that I need
Please stay as long as you need He wanted to go home too, he wanted to end this mission. Well actually it was over, Caelan's body only ached so horribly he didn't know if he could even move at this point. Devan might need to carry him, but he wouldn't complain then. He wanted to be carried. It sounded pretty good to him. Caelan figured he'd be just fine. Right now everything would be okay. Or so he thought, and yet he didn't know what to do. It seemed to be really complicated honestly. Caelan's arm still ached, and so did that whole part of his body. What was he going to say about that? He wanted to hug Devan but he couldn't. If he moved right now he'd probably hurt himself more. The wound might get worse. Which wasn't exactly something he wanted to deal with. Simple as that really.
He didn't even care that he was being ignored. He wouldn't mind it, Devan was trying to fix his wound and make sure it started to feel better. Right? Yet at the same time it'd probably not do him any good. He felt that he was not exactly going to help matters. Devan would try to help him, Devan always tried to help him. Even if the boy didn't always do the best, he sometimes messed up a little bit. But Caelan had put up with it. He would not complain, it'd probably not end up improving in the long run. Caelan wanted to whimper more, he wanted to show that it hurt. But he couldn't, he refused to. The boy only tried to keep holding onto him. At least with Devan helping him up and around till tomorrow he'd be okay. Or so he thought. He didn't like any of this. But what else would he say? The medicine had made it sting even worse.
"Forget it. Just ugh...never again. The crap burns." He wanted to make it go away. Why couldn't they make medicine that didn't hurt people. It couldn't be that hard with the other things people had been able to do. Right? Perhaps he needed to pause this completely, but did it even matter. Probably not. "I don't wanna go home...they'll ask questions. Can we stay out in the dorms, or go somewhere else." He didn't care where, heck they could camp in the woods, or they could find a hotel. No one needed to know right. "Tch who cares. It's over anyway isn't it?" He didn't seem bothered by it, he didn't care about the fact that he was hurt. Those details didn't even seem to matter to him. What was he supposed to say. Yes I wanna go home. As if he'd never say that. Caelan didn't like the idea of going back home to get a lecture.
"Haha right, Devan shut up. If you quit then what would I do? It's fun to watch you trip over yourself." He teased, but Caelan didn't really mean he liked watching Devan fail. He knew Devan could do this, he just needed a little more training and he'd be fine. |
