Caelan full of himself? That didn't seem right. He acted a bit distant and authoritative sure, but not what she would consider as being full of himself. "He seemed nice when I met him." Though Melanie prided herself in being a decent judge of people, after discovering that Devan had lied to her, she wasn't so sure she could entirely trust Caelan either. She wanted to get down to the bottom of this, if only to understand why they would try to keep this from her. She didn't want to hear that it was simply because she was young and inexperienced. Especially if Caelan was seeking out this noble on his own accord.
It would be dangerous. Far too dangerous for even him.
Melanie frowned slightly, the mild agitation mixing in her features as she thought of these things. It was all so troublesome. Why were boy's so reckless and stupid. "Why wouldn't I see you again? Is he even trying to seek revenge anyway?? It just doesn't seem right...he hasn't finished his training. He's not a full fledged hunter right? So why hasn't anyone stopped him if what you say is true. The headmaster would surely..."
She cut herself short after realizing what he'd said about the two of them lying to her. Those words had taken her off guarded, and surprisingly made her feel insecure. She didn't like the idea that anyone would lie to her. It was making her angry just thinking about it. "..I'm sure they had a real reason." However, even she couldn't think of one aside from the trivial nonsense that she wouldn't be able to 'handle it'. As if she were some weak thing. Regardless of the fact that Melanie didn't want to be a hunter at all, it bothered her that anyone would see her as weak for whatever reason.

Don't let it show. The Cold never bothered me anyway What was he going to do? Nate had said a lot of things, Caelan had a lot of issues. He remembered when his brother first came home after that thing happened. He barely seemed to talk to anyone. He really didn't want to, that had been the boy's way. Apparently. But of course Nate didn't push where his parents did. Nate had just let all of that go. It was his style. What could he end up doing? He only glanced at her, then shrugged a bit. What could she say that he hadn't already heard? Like it bothered him to begin with. "I guess he's...nice, ish. You should talk to him more, he's my superior after all so whatever." He spat when he said that, Nate hating having some emotionally driven male being his superior. He only yawned, and just shrugged. He would never go looking for her. And he'd make it hard for her to find him.
"Because I just said so. Let it go. Like you really need to care about me." He just crossed his arms and waited again. This was already more annoying then he liked apparently. He only looked back at her over his shoulder she was asking so many questions. So annoying really. Why the hell did she need to keep asking those things? As if it was even going to help him there. Pretty surprising really wasn't it? Right now he wondered just what was going on, what could he say, and do at this moment? "Because my brother is a reckless boy driven by the hurt he feels. And he won't listen to anyone. Devan, you, and anyone around him has no idea what he feels. Or what he's truly like under that shielded wall of his. Do you even think the headmaster knows what he's up to? Not like Caelan tells people what he does." That girl really needed to think about it. Caelan probably had his ways to hide things anyway, at this point.
"I dunno, you ask them. I want to go now if you don't mind." He yawned again, he was starting to get really tired, probably because of his wounds. But he'd keep that to himself. People didn't need to know what he was feeling or anything along those lines. Since it wasn't really important now was it? She'd run along to Devan and Caelan then Nate would be left alone. tag: @no one • words: ### • notes: none • template by kaito of aizrp

This kid, he was so defensive, and it made Melanie curious as to why. She hadn't said anything rude or offensive toward him, so why was he the one giving her so much attitude? She was worried about Devan and Caelan, just as much as she was angry that they'd lied to her. As Nate went on, and she slowly began to understand the gravity of the situation at hand it intensified these feelings and only bubbled more questions to the surface of her mind.
When he suddenly dismissed himself to leave, Melanie quickly refused. She was hasty to speak out first before taking any further measure. "What do you mean by 'the hurt he feels'? What happened between them? Did they get in a fight?" She had noticed it only slightly the day before, but when they were around each other it was as if she didn't exist anymore. There was an odd static in the air and she hadn't liked it at all. Was her suspicion that they'd gotten in some sort of argument correct?
"And what about you? What are you going to do about all of this? You're his brother aren't you? Shouldn't you be at least trying to help?" She wasn't aware of the family dynamic the two brothers shared. In her family everyone was fairly close, besides the few distant relatives that drove her nuts. In her understanding it was like this for most hunter families, or at least Devan's was awfully similar to her own as well.

Don't let it show. The Cold never bothered me anyway Seriously, why the heck couldn't this girl just let him leave? It wasn't like he had anything left to tell her. Nate had said his part, done his part even. Now she needed to go to the source. Which was Caelan, Devan and possibly the head master who knew about some of this but not all. Go figure, he might have just messed up. But he could hunt without Caelan getting in the way. Caelan might get hurt. Nate did not like them but he'd rather not hear his mom cry cause the idiot big brother died. All because of some stupid thing that would never come around again at this point. He didn't understand this damn chick though. She was starting to get on his nerves a lot. A lot more then he wanted to actually admit of course, but people didn't need to know that. "Go ask him I'm not the messenger. I don't want that fucking dumbass to die over something stupid. That's all now fuck off." He was not nice to her, and Nate walked away from her. Let her follow or not he almost didn't care. She needed to stop asking him these things.
If Melanie wanted to know so badly she should go to Caelan and Devan. That boy was her best bet, Nate wouldn't say anything more. He didn't care enough to say anything more by now. Not exactly a lie because this was just how Nate was. Acted like he cared sometimes, but other times he did not care at all. "Tch I can't help that idiot when his mind is set on something, only Devan can do that. And Devan isn't in any condition to do it either." He rolled his eyes and kicked the ground then started to walk again. He'd just end up leaving her standing there maybe. Vague responses were good enough and he wanted to get away from her. Before he tried to smash her face in because she was asking too many damn questions and didn't know when to shut the hell up.
How could Caelan and Devan even handle her? It was annoying Nate to just be around her. tag: Melanie Evers • words: ### • notes: none • template by kaito of aizrp

Fuck off? Who the hell did this guy think he was talking to her like that. He hadn't even answered her question a moment ago, and he had the gall to tell her to fuck off even though she was just trying to help. Melanie slid her bag off of her shoulder and followed after him. Stuffing her camera inside, she quickly zipped it back up so she could focus on other things. "What the hell is your problem?" She remarked at first, curious to know why this guy had such attitude for no real reason.
"I'm just trying to help, but you don't seem to care at all what happens to either of them. What the hell happened to you that makes you think you have a right to treat people like that?" He was such a jerk, or at least she couldn't stop thinking this over and over as he had his back turned to her and walked away. Melanie rarely ever swore, let alone this much. However, she was angry now that this boy had the audacity to treat her in the manner he had. She was a confident girl and refused to let anyone get away with something like that.

Don't let it show. The Cold never bothered me anyway He would not respond to her, this girl needed to leave him alone. Nate was not a people person even less then his brother. And he didn't want to deal with someone who knew his brother. And his brother's toy at that. Both of those combined made him really angry. But who cared right? At least for now he'd just have to deal with it. He was calming down when he walked away from her, even hearing the girl talk to him wasn't bothering Nate. No he had other places he wanted to be. Things he wanted to do, so on and so forth really. Why didn't she get the clue? The fuck off should have been clue enough. But of course girls were stupid, girls were annoying and frustrating. And he didn't like them. He never liked dealing with them. More so then dealing with Caelan and Devan at the very least anyway.
Why was she still bothering him? Really he didn't get her, and when he felt the arm on his he growled." The hell do you want from me? I don't need to care about people who are better and higher then me. How would you feel living in the shadows of those two bumbling morons. Now go away and go bug them." Nate said as he moved to pull his arm back from her and almost seemed to try and shove her back. Anything to get her away from. Nate hated her, why did she have to push him? And why did he even talk to her? He could and should have just kept walking that was all at this point.
Would she get it now? Nate tried to take off again only glancing back with a slight apologetic look and then he would be gone. If she'd someone manage to let him leave. Nate did not wish to deal with people. Not like that anyway, it only sounded like it'd make matters a lot worse for him. He needed to go see the headmaster after all right now. tag: Melanie Evers • words: ### • notes: none • template by kaito of aizrp

"Are you seriously ignoring me?" He wasn't responding to her, and his wide stride was becoming difficult for her to keep up at her own steady walking pace. Melanie huffed at him, and tried to get his attention with her words once more, hoping that it would work. "Nate! Just stop." However, even as she said this Melanie had a feeling he still wouldn't listen. It didn't take long before she realized that assumption was correct. She didn't want him to just stomp off like this, and so she took matters into her own hands to make him listen.
She reached out to grab his arm, her hand grasping his jacket as she pulled him back firmly. Still, she wasn't has severe as she could have been. She didn't want to make him more angry or hostile, though she didn't realize that such methods would have no other affect on Nate and his short temper. Still, she held onto him even as he yelled at her. It startled the girl initially, but the words spoken had more of an affect on her than the actual tone of his voice. She'd felt anger towards him a moment ago, but after hearing what he'd said, and the hinted hurt in such words, such emotions melted into concern over anything else.
Why would he think that someone was higher or better than him? Melanie certainly didn't think that way. He was speaking about Caelan and Devan, this much she knew, but even those two weren't mean enough to talk down to those around them. They couldn't be so cruel. She stopped, her expression softening as she looked up at him, and thought of an appropriate way to respond. Though the moment she parted her lips to do so he yanked himself free from her once more, and shoved her off.
Melanie had flinched, in the moment sincerely afraid that he was going to hit her. All she felt was a slight pain in her right arm from the shove, however, and she opened her eyes to see him walking away. This time she didn't follow, especially after seeing that second glance, and the look of apology on his face. Her's read the same, sympathy and her own regret for bothering him so much. She was rubbing her right arm as he looked at her, and even as he walked away she only stood there and watched. What was she going to do now? Nate was pissed, and she needed someone to talk to...Caelan and Devan, the both of them could be in trouble and she couldn't let them get hurt.
After a long moment of silence, allowing herself to catch her breath she adjusted her bag over her shoulder, and headed back to the Day Class dorms.
